Departure from the village of Rochebaudin. Car parks near the church.
(S/E) Take Rue de la Malle, opposite the church, and leave the village. Follow this small road, ignore a turn-off on the right and continue uphill then downhill until you reach a crossroads at the bottom of the valley.
(1) Turn right and follow the D110 to the Col du Perthuis.
(2) Turn left onto the D538 towards Bourdeaux. Continue to the next crossroads at Col de Ventebrun.
(3) Leave the tarmac road and take the track on the right, Chemin de la Calade, and follow it to the end.
(4) Continue left, downhill (D538), and arrive at a roundabout at the entrance to Dieulefit.
(5) Turn right and then immediately right again, towards Chamonix. A few metres further on, turn left uphill onto Chemin de Chamonix. Walk past the health centre on your left and continue straight ahead to the end of this street.
(6) Climb to the right, then quickly to the left. Pass a car park, continue along the ridge path, straight ahead, and arrive at a 90° left turn in a small grove.

(7) Leave the track and take the small path downhill opposite. Continue straight ahead, pass two water network manhole covers on the ground and find the start of a path on the right.
(8) Turn onto this steep path, ignore the paths on the left and reach a track.
(9) Follow it to the left and continue straight ahead, alternating between track and road, until you reach the crossroads at the end of Chemin de Ribeseille.
(10) Turn right then left at the four-way junction that follows. Continue, keeping to the right at the next junctions, enter the old village of Poët-Laval and climb up to a four-way junction.
(11) Take the hairpin turn to the right and reach the esplanade, taking a few steps up the stairs, at the castle. Then continue along the small street and keep left twice to reach the four-way fork you have already passed.
No more signposts
(11) Turn right towards Eyzahut via the mountain and follow the forest path for a long time. The path is stony and moderately uphill. Reach the pass with the quarry at Grand Pas.
(12) Cross over to the other side and reach the first crossroads in the village of Eysahut.
(13) Turn right onto Chemin des Châtaigniers, then right again at the hairpin bend onto Chemin du Grand Serre and follow it to a three-way junction at the top of the hill.
(14) Continue straight ahead on Chemin des Ouvrières and, at the edge of the woods, you will find Chemin de Rochebaudin on your left.
(15) Take this road and, at the house, take the grassy path that runs alongside it below. Enter the forest and continue downhill until you reach the tarmac road at a farm.
(16) Continue down the road. At the crossroads at the bottom of the slope, turn right and you will soon reach the church of Rochebaudin (S/E).
