Verquin Cemetery car park
(S/E) Head towards the village and turn left at the first street. After about 100 metres, don't miss the small road on the right. It winds between the village and the fields to reach the D 72 near the post office.
(1) Follow the D72 on the left to the water tower. Then turn left and cross the town to a T-junction. Turn right to reach a crossroads.
(2) Take the small street on the left that crosses the new town and continue straight ahead (church opposite) until you reach Rue de Barlin. Follow it a few metres to the right, then turn left towards the church. After the church, turn left, then immediately right into Rue du Bois Villain. The tarmac gives way to dirt and you reach a T-junction (left branch not very visible).
(3) Turn left onto the path that immediately turns right along the edge of the fields.
After 250 metres, turn left and continue in the same direction until you reach the D 72 (Houchin school on the left).
(4) Cross the D72 (traffic lights) and take the lane opposite. At the end, turn left onto Chemin Lonchinelle. After 400 metres, at the crossroads (but the left-hand path is not very visible), turn right. A very beautiful path then leads you to another crossroads (house opposite).
(5) Turn right. At the next crossroads (ruins), turn right again. After 500 metres, turn left to reach the cemetery. Ignore the first street on the right and a few metres further on, take the small road on the right to join the D72.
(6) Follow it for a few metres to the left and turn right into Rue de Ruitz (yellow and red markings). 200 metres further on, just before a house, take the path on the right (yellow and red markings). Turn left, right and left again (yellow and red markings) to reach Rue du Jeu de Paume. Cross it and take the alley opposite. After a few metres, turn right onto the path to reach a T-junction.
(7) Turn left. Ignore the first street on the left, then the path on the right, and you will reach a three-way junction.
(8) Take the path on the left and follow it for about 250 metres. When it turns left, leave it and take a pretty path on the right at the edge of the woods. You will reach a T-junction.
::9: Turn left towards Drouvin-le-Marais. Pass the meadow and continue to the Drouvin cemetery. Shortly after the cemetery, you will reach a crossroads.
(10) Take the second street on the right (nice pavement on the right) and you will reach a crossroads.
(2) Continue straight ahead for a long 700m stretch and then turn left. You will reach the cemetery. Enter the cemetery and head towards the monument dedicated to African soldiers, then turn right to reach the car park. (S/E).
