Grand Tour of Ermenonville
A long and beautiful route, very varied, mainly through woodland but also with sections across fields, past remarkable sites (Ermenonville Castle, Chaalis Abbey), through beautiful oak groves, and through ‘Fontainebleau’-style landscapes with rocky outcrops and sandy sections.

Versigny Castle from Ormoy-Villers
Two very contrasting sections: first, the two rocky areas encountered in beautiful forests, at the Pierre du Coq, then the Pierre Glissoire. Two beautiful châteaux reached via cultivated fields: the Grande Ferme in Droizelles and Vertigny, an important historical site. Little elevation gain, very easy paths, even in wet weather. Option to shorten the route by almost 4 km.
Montépilloy - Fourcheret, a great escape
From the keep of Montépilloy, you can admire the entire Valois plain and the Massif des Trois Forêts.
The Pierre au Coq botanical trail
A short walk to explore a diverse woodland environment and a few rocky outcrops, including the ‘Pierre au Coq’, a strange natural monolith reminiscent of a menhir with a rugged appearance.

A relaxing hike with very little elevation gain, starting from Ver-sur-Launette and heading to the Ermenonville State Forest,site of two councils or synods in the 8th and 9th centuries. The commune was called Vern in 846. Ver became Ver-sur-Launette on 15 January 1936.
From Poteau d'Ermenonville to Butte aux Gens d'Armes circular route
Located almost entirely in the Ermenonville National Forest, the hike follows theGR®1 trailto the Butte aux Gens d'Armes on the way there. On the way back, the route passes close to the "La Mer de Sable" amusement park and the Royal Abbey of Chaalis. At the end of the hike, you can explore Ermenonville.
