Park in the car park of the École des Pins.
(S/E) Return to the crossroads and start by climbing left up the Carraire du Moulin. Pass the water tank and note the Moulin opposite, a private house overlooking the entrance to the plateau. Continue to reach the plateau, keep to the right and continue almost level. Leave a track on the left further on and go straight ahead to a small memorial stone which serves as a landmark.
(1) At this point, leave the main road by turning right a few metres after the stele. Continue to a crossroads and turn left. You will arrive at a game farm (mainly rabbits), which you will follow on your left until you reach another fork.
(2) Turn right onto the path, then right again onto a small trail that curves to the left and joins it. Continue straight ahead.
(3) On the right, take the time to admire the Chaîne de l'Étoile, then the Gardanne factories with the Montagne Sainte-Victoire in the background. An orientation table allows you to identify all the mountain ranges. Continue straight ahead, turn left with the path, then pass under the high-voltage line to rejoin the main path. Follow it to the left for about 100 metres.
(4) Look for the gate on the right and go through it. Immediately turn right, keep left at the next fork and follow the Alteo site on your right. Further on, start a fairly steep descent, go through another gate and you will come to a crossroads.
(5) Take a very pleasant section on the left, which is flat or slightly sloping with a distant view towards the north of Provence
(6) As you approach the barrier, look out for the start of a path on the left. Climb it for about a hundred metres - this section is not yet very marked - and then join a more distinct path on the right
(7) On this fairly flat section, take the time to admire the view of the heights of the village of Bouc-Bel-Air. After a few hairpin bends, the path takes you to the bottom of the Pégot valley.
(8) Turn left, walk up the valley for 100 m, then take a sharp right turn to reach a crossroads at the end of Chemin de Terre Blanche. Go straight ahead towards the Terres Blanches sports complex, then turn left to follow the nature trail that winds its way along the École des Pins school complex before joining the Carraire du Moulin, which you took on the way there.
Turn right to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
