Park in the École des Pins car park, on the left at the start of the Carraire du Moulin.
(S/E) From the École des Pins car park, start by climbing left up the Carraire du Moulin. Pass in front of the water reservoir and note the Moulin opposite, a private house overlooking the entrance to the plateau. Continue on to reach the plateau. Here you will see a small stele that serves as a landmark.
(1) A few metres further on, leave the main path and turn right. Descend slightly to reach a game farm (rabbits, in particular).
(2) Continue straight ahead. On the right, take the time to admire the Chaîne de l'Étoile, then the Gardanne factories with Montagne Sainte-Victoire in the background. You will come to a 90° left turn. Join a wider path and follow it to the left for a few metres.
(3) Be careful here: make sure you spot the crossing of the main path, then the gate. After the gate, turn left and climb to reach the highest point of the forest.
(4) Continue along the track and take the left-hand path at the next crossroads.
(5) At this crossroads, leave the firefighting cistern on your left. Descend to reach the Pégot valley after a small bend.
(6) Cross the wide path, then take the path that climbs opposite, slightly to the left of the path at the bottom of the valley. You will arrive at the back of a housing estate surrounded by pine trees. Pass to the left of the fence and follow it. At the bottom of the descent, you will find the Terres Blanches sports and cultural complex. Follow it on your left and return to the car park (S/E).
