Tour of Tresserve Hill

This walk allows you to take in the panoramic view of Lake Bourget from the village of Tresserve, then walk around Tresserve Hill and enjoy the lakeside beaches along the cycle path.

Description of the walk

The start is next to the Viviers du Lac village hall.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, join the cycle path.

(1) Take this path and continue until you reach the D50a road.

(2) Follow it to the right (Chemin de la Laiterie) until you reach the bridge over the railway lines.

(3) Cross the bridge, then turn left and walk alongside the Aix-les-Bains golf course.

(4) At the road opposite the racecourse, turn left onto Rue Pierre Favre and continue to the railway bridge.

(5) Turn left under the railway bridge. Take the steps on the left.

(6) Climb the wooden steps opposite, to the right of the stream. Continue along the path to the pond.

(7) At the roundabout, turn right onto Chemin de l’Observatoire and ignore the streets on the left.

(8) Take the path on the left between the houses, then turn right onto Chemin de Coetan until you reach the Lamartine viewpoint.

(9) Continue along Chemin de Coetan, then turn left onto a path that curves slightly before continuing due north to a roundabout

(10) Go round the roundabout and continue along Avenue Daniel Rops, which runs past the cinema and leads to the cycle path along the lake.

(11) Follow it due south to reach Lido Beach.

(12) Carry on, then turn left onto the D1201.

(13) Cross it carefully, follow it to the right, then, before a roundabout, turn left onto the Route du Lac, which leads to the village hall on the left (S/E).
