Park in the car park at the Refuge de la Pare, located on the Riou Bourdoux track. To get there, follow signs for La Pare from the road that runs behind the aerodrome and climbs towards La Frâche. The track is 5 km long and suitable for vehicles. The car park can accommodate numerous vehicles and is situated just before the ONF barrier.
(S/E) Head north along the track until you reach a four-way junction. Here you will find theGR®6.
(1) Turn left onto it, stay on this wide track, cross the Aiguettes ravine and then the Église ravine to reach a path junction.
(2) Leave theGR® here and turn onto the path branching off to the right, marked in yellow. Continuing uphill, cross the Bois des Aiguettes. You will arrive at a large meadow at Clot Boye.
(3) Continue up the slope ahead and, after a few hairpin bends, reach the Cabane Neuve junction.
(4) Stay on the path on the left, turn right then at a 90° angle, and continue the climb. Cross several streams before reaching, after a wooded area, a new crossroads with a Yellow Cross on a larch tree.
(5) Keep left and continue to follow the yellow markings; finish the climb by reaching an almost level path, known as the Chemin Horizontal.
(6) Turn right onto it, still following the yellow markings. Pass in front of the Grande Source. You will then reach the junction with the Col des Orres path. Ignore this and continue along the Chemin Horizontal. On this long stretch, cross several streams in succession to rejoin theGR®6.
(7) Take it to the right and now follow the red and white markings downhill. Navigate a series of hairpin bends through the Riou Bourdoux National Forest. You will then reach the Refuge de la Pare.
(8) Continue the descent, still on theGR®, to quickly reach the initial junction you passed on the way out.
(1) Leave theGR® here and turn left onto the yellow-marked path through the undergrowth. Cross the Ravin des Aiguettes stream via a pretty wooden footbridge. You will then reach the hamlet of l’Église.
(9) Continue straight ahead along the Sentier de Découverte to reach the car park at the Refuge de la Pare (S/E).
