Stunning views, a few damp patches at the start of the season but nothing too bad. I only did the northern circular loop; I’ll save the southern one for another time. Please note that the starting point is now called the Café des Astres. The façade has been beautifully restored.
The group I was with were delighted.

A lovely walk in rather grey weather – one I’d like to do again under a clear blue sky to really take in the scenery. The paths can be muddy in several places along the route, with water running over them, but they’re still manageable in walking shoes. (I’d packed a pair of ankle boots in my rucksack just in case, and I almost put them on.) Along the route, there are also information boards explaining the history and characteristics of the planets in our solar system.

Best done in summer, as some paths can be muddy
The village of La Chapelle-aux-Lys is very pretty. No problem parking your car... lovely farmhouses along the route
