Departure from the Faymoreau Mining Centre car park, opposite the Hôtel des Mines.
(S/E) Leave the car park, go down the street and turn right at the stop sign, pass in front of the town hall and continue on Rue de la Gare. (Coron des Bas de Soie)
(1) Turn right onto the cycle path towards Chemin de la Mine, a grassy path in the centre. A little further on, go through the log barrier and continue along the cycle path. (Chemin des Mines - old railway line). Cross the bridge over the Vendée river. When you reach the road, turn right and climb up to the village of Les Mouillères.
(2) Turn right onto the D89 towards Marillet. Cross a bridge, leave the access road to Button on your left and continue to the next crossroads.
(3) Turn onto the path that climbs to the right. When you reach the orchards, continue straight ahead on grassy paths. Pass La Farferie on your left and cross the intersection carefully.
Join the D19.
(4) Cross carefully and continue to the next intersection, passing under a power line.
(5) Turn right at the crossroads and descend towards the forest.
(6) At the entrance to the forest, take the path on the left that leads into the woods (during hunting season, continue straight ahead). After crossing the Ruisseau des Dorderies stream, continue along the edge of the forest, passing under two power lines until you reach the D3.
(7) When you reach the road, turn right immediately into the forest lane, going around the log barrier. After about 400 metres, turn left at the wooden hut and continue along this path for about 100 metres.
(8) Turn right onto the path that runs alongside the forest, pass under two power lines and continue along the edge of the forest until you reach the road near a place called La Haute Dorderie. (Note the panoramic view of the village of Centre Minier de Faymoreau).
(9) Turn right onto the road. After a left-hand bend, pass the Basse Dorderie farm, then cross the D19 and go up the grassy lane opposite, which leads to the car park (S/E).
