An easy route, completely flat on small, quiet roads through vineyards and along the banks of the Dordogne. The verges and vineyards mean you don't always have to walk on tarmac.

Discover a little-known part of Libourne after a few minutes' drive, leaving the traffic behind for the vineyards and then the tranquillity of the banks of the Dordogne. If it is hot and the sun is strong, you will be in the shade and cool on your return. The presence of the menhir is surprising.

This 15 km circular route, with a fairly flat route, is ideal for all wine and nature enthusiasts. You’ll catch sight of Saint-Émilion’s prestigious wine estates. The route winds its way through the vineyards of these renowned châteaux situated on the famous limestone plateau surrounding the village.

Saint-Émilion is a medieval town of great interest in many ways. But whilst its main streets are teeming with people during the peak season, don’t hesitate to venture into a more secluded part of Saint-Émilion to experience a more intimate atmosphere. This short route, taking less than an hour, allows you to explore Saint-Émilion off the beaten track and away from the town’s shopping streets.

Just a few minutes from Saint-Émilion, this remarkable hamlet has many surprises in store. A lodge for pilgrims on the Way of St James, an aviary, an 18th-century mill, a magnificent Petit Trianon-style château, an important and magnificent collection of iron sculptures, not to mention a beautiful view of the mountains. Let's continue with some Grands Crus and beautiful views of the rolling hills.

From the old Saint-Laurent-des-Combes railway station, at a place called Barbeyron, you will climb back up towards Saint-Émilion with exceptional views of the medieval town. After skirting the town, this hike will take you through the heart of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru vineyards.

From Branne, take the picturesque little roads leading to Blasimon and let yourself be surprised, throughout this loop, by the richness of the local heritage and the views from the hillsides.

Just a few minutes from Libourne town centre, there are over 450 hectares of nature: meadows, vineyards, woods, the Dordogne river, but also storks, deer and wild boar (don't worry, they're not visible during the day...). Also worth seeing are a magnificent chapel, Château Videlot and its grounds. Please note that the path through the château grounds along the Dordogne may be inaccessible during high tides (coefficient > 100). This route is signposted.

Here is a pleasant walk that starts along the water’s edge, returning further inland through the vineyards. Although it is nearly 10 km long, it is not particularly strenuous as the terrain is entirely flat. It is somewhat the western counterpart to another walk suggested to the east of the Branne bridge (Visorando no. 3895881).

Through vineyards and woodland, local hamlets and villages, this undulating route takes us on a journey through the peaceful, green countryside south of Branne.

The Cabara circular walk offers beautiful views, particularly of the meandering Dordogne. The Port of Cabara, with its old warehouses, serves as a reminder that the village was centred on river trade in the 19th century. Its port was very busy. As a testament to those prosperous times, the houses and shops of the many craftsmen and fishermen still stand on the riverbank.

This undulating and varied walk takes us from plains to hillsides, through vineyards and woodland. From the heights, it offers beautiful panoramic views of the Dordogne or the vineyards and thrilling sensations in the dense woodland...
