Run & Trail 2023 - APF France handicap

Start at the Compagnie du Dragon de Calais, located on Avenue Wilson Churchill.

(S/E) Walk along the seafront and continue along Rue Digue Gaston Berthe.

(1) Turn left onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle and, at the roundabout, take Rue d’Asfeld on the right. After another roundabout, continue along Boulevard du 8 Mai, walk past the Lycée Pierre de Coubertin and arrive at another roundabout.

(2) Turn left onto Avenue Pierre de Coubertin and, after the sports hall, enter the park on the left via the small bridge and the ramparts. This is the Citadel of Calais. Continue straight ahead.

(3) In the middle of the training track, turn right to cross another small bridge. This is the Porte de Neptune. Follow the path on the left, then continue out of the park to reach the Esplanade Jacques Vendroux. Follow it to the left until you reach the roundabout.

(4) Turn right onto Boulevard de la Résistance, walk alongside the Bassin Ouest car park and continue to the next roundabout. Turn left to reach the lifeguard station, continue straight ahead and cross the Pont Henri Hénont.

(5) Just after the bridge, turn right to go round Fort Risban, follow the harbour and turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).

APF France handicap is an association of people with disabilities.
A pioneer in the field of disability, it was founded in 1933 by four young people with polio, faced with a society in which nothing was planned or adapted for them. Outraged by this exclusion and wishing to break the isolation of people with disabilities, they created their own solutions and services, encouraging people with disabilities to do the same, to “dare the impossible” according to the motto of one of the young founders, André Trannoy.
