Roche Courbière (Champ-sur-Drac) walks
Ruins of Saint-Michel Priory by Roche Courbiere
This easy hike, just outside the city, will first take you to a little-known viewpoint, La Roche Courbière, which offers a surprising view of the lower Drac valley, the Grenoble metropolitan area and the surrounding mountains such as the Vercors and the Chartreuse. The route then takes you to the ruins of the Priory of Saint-Michel de Connexe, which dates back to the 11th century.
Circular trail to the priory and waterfalls from Saint-Georges-de-Commiers
A pleasant, wooded walk that takes hikers to several points of interest: the Roche Courbière viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the lower Drac valley and the Vercors and Chartreuse mountain ranges, or the ruins of the Priory of Saint-Michel de Connexe. After passing a cave, the second part of the descent is refreshing and dominated by water, featuring a series of waterfalls, meandering streams and whirlpools!

A special hike organised as part of both the Grenoble-Vizille half marathon and the hike itself.
Roybon Hut – La Peyrouse Hut
Day2 of a traverse of the Vercors via the balcony path.
Pic Saint-Michel via the Vertige des Cimes
A very classic route that takes you to four remarkable viewpoints in succession, offering views of Grenoble and its valley, as well as the Vercors plateau, the Rocher de l’Ours and the Roc Cornafion. It’s a hike you should do at least once if you’re in the area.
Ideally, you should take two cars up and leave one at the finish, which is at the Parking des Barnets, two hairpin bends below the start point at the Lans-en-Vercors resort.
Fauge Shelter - Jasse du Play Shelter
This is the longest stage of this traverse, but also the one that marks the entrance to the high plateaus.
Les Clôts – Refuge de la Soldanelle
First stage of the hike. Set off from the Clôts car park towards the Refuge de la Soldanelle for an overnight stay.
Lac de la Moucherolle
This walk leads to Lac de la Moucherolle and the Fauge valley.
This hike allows you to discover a multitude of landscapes ranging from a mineral world to pastures and forests with beautiful panoramic views of the entire northern Vercors.
The Pas de l'Oeille and its ibexes
A hike in the heart of the Vercors to discover ibex (numerous and not shy in these mountains). And as a bonus on arrival, beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Soldanelle Mountain Hut – Les Clôts
This second day is full of contrasts, from the narrow paths of the eastern ridges to the wide slopes of the Corrençon Villard ski area.
Crossing the Montagne des Quatre Seigneurs
There are countless route options in this forested area on the outskirts of the Grenoble conurbation, delighting both walkers and mountain bikers alike. The advantage of this route, linking the village of Saint-Martin-d’Uriage to Eybens, is that it offers varied views, first of the Belledonne massif and then of the “capital of the Alps”, dominated by the Vercors and the Chartreuse.
Crossing the Vercors via the Sentier Balcon
A relatively easy circular route that follows the balcony path running along the foot of the Vercors cliff from Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte to Gresse-en-Vercors.
You then climb up onto the plateau via the Col des Bachassons and return to theGR® via the Pas des Chatons, before heading to Corrençon-en-Vercors, where you will have left a car.
