A long and demanding hike due to its significant total elevation gain, presenting two major challenges:
- The approach to the Col de la Forclaz: quite steep and potentially exposed to rockfalls.
- The Passage du Saix: an exposed route secured by cables.
This hike is therefore not recommended for inexperienced walkers.
