The Dière footbridge must be used on the route to cross a torrent. Accessible outside the snow season and depending on weather conditions.

Departure from the Plan Chevalier car park, 500m before Outredière.
(S/E) Check the signpost to see if the Dière footbridge is open.
Take the small forest track that climbs perpendicular to the road, opposite the car park, until you find a turning on the right.
(1) Follow the track that branches off to the right horizontally and reach the Route de Outredière. In the village, take a left turn and continue on the road that turns right to its highest point.
(2) At the crossroads, take the first road on the left. When you reach the forest, ignore a turn-off on the right and continue for a few metres to follow the road on the right. At the third hairpin bend, turn left and pass a clearing with a small chalet. Continue along the track which, after a right-hand bend, passes over it. Take another left-hand bend, then a right-hand bend, and you will reach a new grassy area with a hut on the edge of the woods. A few metres before the hut, you will find the start of a path on the left.
(3) Take the path on the left which crosses the meadow horizontally and then enters the undergrowth. Ford a stream and begin the steep climb up the path with a few steps made of wooden logs. Climb until you reach the foot of a cliff, then continue left along the side, cross two more streams and reach the spring catchment with the footbridge over the Torrent de Dière.
(4) Cross the footbridge and continue along the path on the other side of the stream.
(5) Leave the track and turn right onto the path. Head for the refuge and the Chalets du Doran.
(6) After enjoying the location, take the same route back along the path to the track.
(5) Leave the route you took on the way up and continue to the right until you reach the track leading to the Chalets du Doran.
(7) Continue downhill. After a few hairpin bends, cross the Ruisseau du Désert stream and enter the undergrowth. At the fork with a car park, continue straight ahead until you reach the edge of the woods.
(8) Follow the downhill track that turns sharply to the left and pass in front of the Doran water station building. At the three-way junction, continue to the right and a few metres further on, continue straight ahead. Near the Ruisseau du Désert, turn right and you will reach a junction of tracks.
(9) Turn left and continue left at the bottom of the descent. Cross the Ruisseau du Désert and reach the fork you took on the way there.
(1) Continue downhill and return to the Plan Chevalier car park (S/E).
