Depart from in front of the town hall towards Loubigné.
(S/E) Pass in front of the town hall and follow the small tarmac road that leaves Exouden towards the north-east.
(1) Take the first road on the right, which appears to be a dead end as it ends at a barrier! However, this is a communal area, so you must enter it and follow the path (which branches off to the left) for about 80 metres.
(2) Turn right across the field to join a hiking trail about 25 metres away.
This path leads back to the road connecting Exoudun to Bagnault, which you should follow for about 350 metres towards Bagnault, then take the path on the right which leads to a trail 110 metres away.
(3) Turn left and, at the end of this path, you will come to a pretty bridge over the Sèvre Niortaise, but do not cross it in order to pass through Bagnault.
Pass the first street on the right and, 60 metres further on, take a passageway leading to a pretty wash house and crossing over a stream. At the end of this passageway, turn right and then left onto Rue de La Rochelle and continue for 130 metres.
(4) Where this street turns at a right angle to the left, you will see a bread oven on the right and, a little further down towards the river, another wash house: well worth seeing.
Leave the street by turning right, then, on leaving Bagnault, turn right (towards Brieuil), then take the first path on the right (about 70 metres).
(5) Follow this path, which crosses the Sèvre Niortaise and turns left then right to join a road that you must cross. There is a small cemetery on the right. Continue along this path until you reach Exoudun.

At the crossroads, take the small lane on the left and walk to the boiling fountain and back. Return to the fork, turn left to cross the Sèvre Niortaise again and return to the starting point via Rue du Stade (S/E).
