The starting point is on Rue des Étangs, near Étang du Fourneau: plenty of parking spaces. You can also start at Étang du Milieu, but parking spaces are more limited.
(S/E) Walk up Rue des Étangs to pass under the railway bridge, taking care to watch out for traffic. Head towards Étang du Milieu and the starting point of the fitness trail.
(1) Walk around the pond on the left (clockwise): various exercise stations are available along the route. Take the causeway separating Étang du Milieu from Étang Neuf: there is a lovely view of these ponds, but it is not possible to walk around Étang Neuf.
(2) Turn left as you head up the Chemin de la Vie du Moulin. At the bend, do not enter the woods but take the path on the right to reach Rue des Perchottes (the Voie Verte cycle route linking Lamarche-sur-Saône to Dijon).
(3) Turn left onto it and continue along this small road until you reach the few buildings at Le Fays.
(4) Turn right onto the track (marked 37) leading into Les Grandes Charrières. At the junction at the bottom of the descent, turn left onto the perpendicular track and cross the stream.
(5) Just before the track starts to climb, turn right onto the new track (marked 34) running perpendicular to it. At the end of the track, take the white path on the right.
(6) On the climb, just before the white track turns right, take the perpendicular line to the left. Once you reach the cleared area on the left, immediately take the line to the right. Cross the white track and follow the line opposite to enter the Leat aux Renards.
(7) At the bottom of the leat, just before the stream and before the track climbs steeply, turn right onto the new track leading to a white track.
(8) Continue left, going up the white track. Carry on straight ahead along the Route de Saint-Léger to reach Lamarche-sur-Saône. Cross the level crossing with care.
(9) Immediately afterwards, turn right onto Rue du Pays Neuf to return directly to the starting point (S/E).
