Circular between Magny-Montarlot and Poncey-lès-Athée

Depart from the car park located at the roundabout, near the church.

(S/E) Head towards the church and turn right onto Rue de Poncey. Leave the village and continue for about 100 metres after the edge of the Bois des Ratières forest.

(1) Turn right onto the Sommière road at the electricity pylon. Please note: access is difficult (partially covered). Continue to the next intersection.

(2) Take the cart track on the left and continue straight ahead (south-east). Carefully cross the railway line and continue straight ahead for 500 metres until you reach the second turning on the left.

(3) Follow the track on the left and continue to the road.

(4) Continue right until you reach the junction with the Route Départementale in Poncey-les-Athée.

(5) Cross the road, turning left for 50 metres, and just after the bridge, turn right onto Grande Rue, which runs parallel to the stream. Pass in front of the chapel and continue to Rue du Puits Gras.

(6) Make a quick first turn left then right and continue along Rue du Bac until you reach the banks of the Saône. Turn left onto the path and follow the river until you reach the next street.

(7) Continue left for 200 metres, then at the next crossroads, turn left again and immediately right onto Rue Bourgalin. Just after No. 4, turn left onto Rue du Champ Communal, then right onto Rue Lucot and continue to the end. Cross the departmental road (D976) and quickly join Rue du Champ Culminot on the right.

(8) Take this road and follow it uphill. Leave the village and continue to the next junction. Take the path parallel to the road on the left and continue to the next fork.

(9) Continue left and follow this carriageway through the fields, passing a copse on your left, until you reach a three-way junction.

(10) Keep to the right. Cross the railway line carefully and continue to the left immediately afterwards. Reach the end of Chemin du Fiaunai in Montarlot.

(11) Turn left onto the D116 and follow it carefully to the church and car park in Magny-Montarlot (S/E).
