Parking is available near the information centre on Kastellauner Strasse.
(S/E) With the information centre on your right, take Kastellauner Strasse. Pass the chapel and continue to the bend.
(1) Turn left and go down the road.
(2) At the crossroads, turn right. At the next fork, turn left.
(3) At the bend in the road, continue straight ahead on the middle forest path. Descend to a path on your right.
(4) Go up the path towards Bergkreuz, with a view of the suspension bridge. Continue along the path behind the cross. Go downhill, keep to your right and follow the winding path to the bottom.
(5) Ignore the bridge on your right and turn left. Follow the stream. A path comes back on your left, continue straight ahead. Cross one bridge and then a second. Take the path opposite, at the fork on the right, and then cross a third bridge. Take the path uphill.
(6) At the crossroads, follow the path downhill, with a view of the suspension bridge. Continue straight down to the pontoon, cross it and turn left. At the crossroads by the bridge, turn right. Pass under the suspension bridge. Further on, take the stairs opposite, then cross the path and continue along the path opposite. Keep to the right until the next crossroads.
(7) Continue straight ahead and at the next choice, turn left. Descend to the bridge, which you do not cross.
(8) Turn right, climb up to see the cave and then continue along the path which climbs after running alongside the stream for a short distance.
(9) After climbing the switchbacks and just before the sign, turn left. The path is less marked. Further on, climb the steps and continue to the right.
(10) At the next fork, turn right to take the hairpin bend path. Further on, the path turns sharply. At the intersection, go right. At the Auf Dem Burgberg viewpoint, go around the shelter and continue left downhill. Continue along the path until you pass the Roman well and its information sign.
(9) Descend the winding path on your left and pass the cave again.
(8) At the bridge, turn left. Walk back up to the crossroads and turn right.
(7) At the intersection, go straight ahead up a fairly steep climb and leave the route you took on the way up. At the top, take the path on the right.
(11) Ignore the path descending to the right and continue left to the next path, which you follow to the right. Further on, a path returns to your right. Continue straight ahead and keep left in the bend. Turn left under the suspension bridge and climb up to the entrance.
Cross the 360-metre-long suspension bridge. On the other side, continue straight ahead, ignore the paths on your right and stay on the main path until you reach the road. Turn right and then immediately left to take the path going uphill at the crossroads on the right.
(3) Go straight ahead on the road, climb up the next road and continue straight ahead.
(2) Turn left and climb up to the main road.
(1) Turn right, pass the chapel again and return to the car park (S/E).
