The walk starts from the car park of the Maison de la Nature des Quatre Frères, a sort of eco-museum about local flora and fauna located a few kilometres from the Paul Ricard route.
(S/E) From the car park, walk down towards the building, then go around it on the left and continue for about 100 m.
(1) Turn right onto aPR®(long-distance footpath), the Chemin du Puits d'Encastre, for 2.5 km.
(2) Turn right, 180°, and continue straight ahead on the PR®.
(3) Continue to the right, then right again at the hairpin bend 150 m further on.
(4) At the bottom, enter the forest towards the south-west for 300 m.
(5) Turn left until you reach a crossroads (elevation 469).
(6) Continue straight ahead towards the south-east for 1.5 km until you reach a Y-junction.
(7) Leave thePR® and begin the descent towards the south. Arrive in the ravine and climb up the other side. Come out onto a track and follow it to the left for about 50 metres.
(8) Turn right towards the large rocks. The Abîme de Maramouyé is at the end behind a wire fence, but you can enter through a gate on the side. Caution: take care with young children
(9) Return to the previous fork.
(8) Turn right onto the track and continue for 400 metres until you reach a Y-junction.
(10) Turn left onto a clearly visible path. Pass through the Carnaval valley and continue on to another valley further on.
(11) Go up the valley on the left, heading south, then north-west, until you reach a crossroads.
(12) Turn left, heading south-west, then cross a track and continue almost opposite on a path that enters the forest. Arrive at Tête du Cade and walk 500 m north-west.
(13) Turn left, then right 80 m further on. This will take you back to the crossroads you passed on the way out.
(6) Continue straight ahead until you reach a fork.
(14) Turn right, stay on thePR® and after a pleasant descent into the forest, you will arrive at the bottom of the Vallon de l'Oure at another fork.
(15) Continue straight ahead towards the west and, after 500 m, you will arrive at the Bastide Blanche, the ruins of an old farmhouse.
(16) Turn right and continue for 300 metres until you reach a crossroads.
(17) Turn right, heading north, up a hill marked "Maison des Quatre Frères".
(S/E) You will arrive at the eco-museum. Take the track on the left towards the car park.
