The route starts at the car park by Frizon church, where you’ll find the sign for the three marked walks.
(S/E) Then head towards the town hall, where you’ll find the first signpost, dedicated to the four schools that once existed in the village.
(1) Continue straight ahead, then turn left twice, towards Rue du Haut du Butté, where you’ll find the second sign, dedicated to the fountains of Frizon and their history.
(2) Continue along Rue du Haut du Butté to the left, then turn left at the stop sign, and then left again towards the water tower.
(3) Continue to the Frizon communal forest. At the entrance to the forest, turn right and follow the path before turning right at the trench. Follow it straight on until you reach the road.
(4) Cross it, heading towards Bouxières-aux-Bois, then continue straight on along a forest path to reach the hamlet known as “Le Barban” (this section is difficult for pushchairs). You then follow the green leaves to the right until you reach the cemetery, where you’ll find the third sign explaining the history of the cemetery.
(5) Carry on, then cross the playground on the left.
(6) Walk down Rue de l’Étang, then turn left, and then right, behind the last house in the village onto Chemin des Renards.
(7) Follow this path and cross the bridge (some sections may be difficult for pushchairs). At the end of this path, continue straight ahead onto the road, where you will find a sign dedicated to Stanislas Leszczynski.
(8) Carry on, then turn right.
(9) As you walk up Allée des Marronniers, you’ll come across the fourth sign, which tells the story of the Bouzey disaster, as well as the fifth sign, which recounts the history of this avenue, passing by the château. Continue along the road, then turn left. Once you reach Rue de l’École, head up the road opposite towards the church, the start and finish point of the walk (S/E).
