In Chasselay, park in the pond car park.
(S/E) Go down Rue de l'Étang, turn left onto Montée du Plantin.
(1) With the Château du Plantin on your left, follow the road on the right. At the first intersection, turn left onto Chemin de l'Orge. At the next intersection, turn right.
(2) At the crossroads, take the second path on the left, which can be muddy in wet weather. At the next intersection, turn left for 100 metres and then left again onto the path that runs between the vineyards. After about 200 metres, turn left and follow the path between the vineyards and the forest.
(3) Before the end of the vineyard, take the path on the left that goes uphill. Stop to admire the view. Continue uphill, ignoring the paths on the right and left.
(4) Turn right, in a hairpin bend, heading south, and climb without paying attention to the other paths. When you reach a T-junction, turn left. At the ruined farm on the left, follow the geological path that branches off to the right for about 100 metres.
(5) Turn left, heading due north, and immediately right onto a mountain bike trail that descends and passes through the undergrowth. At the bottom, cross the stream, which may be dry. Take the trail on the left, which may be muddy in wet weather.
When you reach a hairpin bend, turn left.
(6) Turn left and cross the stream, then climb up the opposite side and follow the widening trail, ignoring the paths branching off to the right and left.
When you reach the fork with the geological trail, turn right, pass the orientation table and arrive at Le Plantin (altitude 299m). Descend north towards Château du Plantin.
(1) Take the same route back to the car park by the lake (S/E).
