Circular loop starting from Le Vigan en Quercy

Park in the car park by the pond on the D673.

(S/E) With the pond on your left, follow the shore to the pedestrian crossing over the D801, then take the small access road to the cemetery: take care, there is traffic.

(1) Opposite the cemetery entrance, a narrow path climbs up behind you:

Take care: the path is slightly sloping, narrow and may be slippery. Continue uphill until you reach Rue du Château and the yellow PR® signposts.

(2) Turn left and continue uphill until you reach the junction with the Chemin du Terrier.

(3) Leave this road on your right and carry on straight ahead along a grassy track until you reach the junction with the Route de Larroque.

(4) Cross this road and continue straight ahead along a track until you reach Route de Simonet.

(5) Turn right onto this road and follow it for about 400 metres, passing a clay pigeon shooting range on your left.

(6) Leave the road and take a path on the left towards the hamlet of Pochy.

(7) Leave this on your right and continue along the footpath towards the hamlets of Vignals Bas and Gamoutou. When you reach a road, pass Vignals Bas on your right and turn left (sharp bend) towards Gamoutou.

(8) You’ll reach the Chemin du Chalet. Turn left onto it and follow it for about 2 km (views of the hills of St Projet and the Puech des Dreuilles)

(9) A steep descent to the Moulin de Dalet.

(10) Pass the mill to reach the Route du Lac (D801).

(11) Caution: cross this departmental road with extreme care. To do so, first turn right then left to join the Route du Moulin de Boucot. Cross the bridge over the Bléou and rejoin the GR®652 and GR®64 (Gourdon – Rocamadour).

(12) Begin your return journey to Le Vigan by turning left. Pass the Moulin de Delsié, then the Moulin de Thières, and, immediately afterwards, you’ll reach a junction.

(13) Carry on straight ahead towards the stadium, then walk along the edge of the pond until you reach the D673. Stay by the pond’s edge via a footbridge over the spillway and head to the car park (S/E).
