Car park in the village of Léobard, in front of the town hall.
(S/E) From the car park, take the shaded road on the right which climbs towards the plateau. At the first junction, take the road on the right (Chemin des Écureuils). After the hairpin bend, take the path on the right until you reach the track.
(1) Stay on the road then turn left. Stay on the wide path until you reach a crossroads with a beautiful view. Continue straight on until you reach the two low stone walls.
(2) Turn right until you reach the road. Head down to the left until you reach the D46. Cross it and head straight on. Cross the bridge over the “Céou” stream to reach a junction.
(3) Take the road opposite towards Mazou. At the first bend, take the path opposite until you reach the road. Cross it and take the path opposite again until you reach Mazou.
(4) Turn left in the hamlet, then right at the foot of the remarkable elm tree and continue for 80 metres. Take the path on the left and follow it down to the greenway.
(5) Follow this to the right. Keep to the road on the left, cross a stone bridge to reach Pont Carral (GR®652). Walk through the hamlet then cross the D673(caution: busy road). Turn right for 30 metres then left onto a path that descends back into the valley. Continue on theGR® to the village of Abbaye Nouvelle.
(6) Turn left onto the road and then left again to reach the cemetery. Turn right to reach the ruins of the abbey (13th century) and go round the Cistercian site on the right below. Follow the road then take the path up to the right next to the picnic area. Cross a small road and continue along this path. Turn left to go down between two houses and join the road.
(7) Take it on the right and follow theGR®652for a short while.
(8) Turn left and cross two bridges. A few metres before reaching the D673, turn left onto a path leading to the main road.
(9) Take the D673 (caution: busy road) to the left for a few metres, then immediately right onto the D47 towards Léobard. Take the first path on the right which runs alongside the D47 before veering off it. At the junction, continue straight on for 150 metres until you reach a small path coming from the left.
(10) Follow this path as it climbs through a wood to the road. Cross the road and head straight on until you reach another road. Turn right twice, then left, passing in front of Sainte-Madeleine Church to reach the car park (S/E).
