From the Val d'Ese station, set off to discover an unexpected landscape in Corsica: the Pozzines. This hike also offers magnificent views of Monte Renoso and Lake Vitalaca. You are sure to come across herds of sheep and cattle grazing in this area.

Discover the Pozzi du Renosu, one of Corsica's most remarkable geological gems, on a circular route redesigned for your comfort. This hike will take you to a vast high-altitude plateau where intense green lawns are dotted with a myriad of sparkling water holes, a direct legacy of the last ice age. We offer an alternative departure point that avoids the steep climb up the ski slope in favour of a more gradual and pleasant path.

The Pozzines (from the Corsican word i Pozzi, meaning wells) are acidic peat bogs crossed by winding streams. They are located at altitudes between 1,700 and 2,300 metres. They occupy depressions formed by ancient glacial lakes, which were filled in by clay deposits and numerous dead plants. In Corsica, the deposits of the oldest pozzines are thought to date back around 12,000 years.

At a height of 100 m, the Buja waterfall (Piscia di a Bughja) is one of the highest in Corsica. At its foot is a pool where you can cool off and relax on the rocks. If you look carefully, this waterfall can be seen from afar, especially from the road leading to the village. The long white trail it leaves on the mountain is particularly impressive in winter, when the water flows freely.Bughja (from the word Bughju: darkness).

This is a magnificent hike that has never been done before, as there is a section that is not listed. The trail starts halfway to the Ghisoni ski resort via a shortcut that leads onto the famous GR®20. This route offers a wide variety of landscapes and vegetation, including fir and beech forests, scrubland, rocky areas, lakes, rivers, animals, sheepfolds and the famous pozzi, which are magnificent in this location. These are pools of water in the green grass that form natural basins, connected by small river veins in the grass. The outward journey is via the Lacs de Rina, and the return via the GR®20. There are a few tough, steep sections, but all in all, it's not a very difficult hike, and well worth the effort.

This easy hike will allow you to discover a small part of the Coscionu plateau, which rises to an average altitude of 1,500 metres. This beautiful loop will take you along paths, tracks and trails through a varied and unspoilt landscape. Along the way, you may be lucky enough to encounter some animals, such as pigs, horses and donkeys

Overlooking Lake Bastani and one of the five highest peaks in Corsica at 2,352 metres, Monte Renosu stands out for its breathtaking panoramic view.

The ascent of Monte Renoso, the highest point in southern Corsica, offers a splendid view of Lake Bastani and the peaks of the northern part of the island (Monte d'Oro, Rotondo, Cardo, Paglia Orba and Monte Cinto). On the way back, a short detour via a tricky descent will take you to the edge of Lake Bastani for a refreshing break.

Starting from Solaro, walk through the forest. Focus mainly on discovering the flora. The route is suitable for different audiences, fun and family-friendly, punctuated by several workshops, and focuses on discovering the riches of the heritage and preserving biodiversity.

Arriving on a small plateau, the path continues until it crosses a small stream. Then, a narrow, winding path where you may encounter some wild pigs takes you up under chestnut trees to the Col de la Croix. From there, follow the track to the right and discover the splendid panorama of the eastern plain, the sea, and the Monti Renoso and Kyrie Eleison (Christe Eleison). The track then descends to the village of Ghisoni.

At an altitude of 850 metres, there is a view of Bocognano and the Gravone valley.

Climb up to Rocher de la Madonuccia, which offers a surprising view of Monte d'Oro.

Since 2022, new routes have been established. Their aim is to divert footpaths crossing the pozzines as much as possible. The Violu di i Pastori hike goes around Castellu d'Ornucciu via the sheepfolds of Chiralbella. You can see numerous pozzines (peat bogs), including Pian d'Ornucciu. Depending on the season, you may encounter horses, cows, pigs and flocks of sheep.

Since 2022, new routes have been established. Their aim is to divert footpaths crossing the pozzines (peat bogs) as much as possible. The Violu di l'acqua hike offers beautiful views of the pozzines. A beautiful hike that follows theGR®20trail, with breathtaking scenery.

Starting near the Col de Vizzavona, this short circular hike will take you to the Cascade des Anglais waterfall and down along the Agnone with its beautiful pools inviting you to take a dip. The return journey is via an easy path through the forest.

This is a lovely hike that leads to the rocking rock, then on to the Coscione plateau through the pozzines where pigs and horses roam freely. We then follow the Giavingiolu stream, which we will have to ford several times. The descent then follows and overlooks the beautiful Chiuvone gorge.

A beautiful circular route on a very shaded route, without any great difficulty. The trail leads us to the pretty little village of Cardo-Torgia, then to the hamlet of Vicu (Santa Maria Siché), where we can stroll among beautiful residences, including the castle of Vicu d'Ornano, before continuing on our way through oak undergrowth to the Col d'Urbichini and then descending to Zigliara.
