Description of the walk

(S/E) From the shaded car park in front of the Town Hall, head south-west down the sloping street, cross the road junction with care, and take Rue de la Gare towards Lesperon. Cross the bridge over the Ruisseau d’Onesse and reach a four-way junction.

(1) Turn left (Route de la Poste) and follow this road until you reach Chemin du Moule, at the corner of No. 382.

(2) Take this path and continue to the next junction.

(3) Carry on straight ahead until you reach a three-way junction.

(4) Keep to the right, continue straight on and walk alongside the hamlet of Petit Coulin.

(5) At this multi-way junction, take the path on the right. Turn left onto the path, which becomes a pleasant little track sloping gently down towards the Ruisseau du Coulin. Follow the stream.

(6) At the small bridge, first turn left then right along the fence of Poutchic Park, head up onto the flat section, then turn right onto this wide track. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the Barrière estate. Take the access track on the left.

(7) Turn right, almost on the spot, and begin the descent towards the Ruisseau du Coulin valley; cross the stream and head back up to a wide track.

(8) Turn right, then continue straight ahead along this track until you reach the old Herrou farmhouse. Carry on straight across and make the first turn left then right.

(9) At the Y-junction, keep to the right and continue until you reach a multi-way junction.

(10) Turn right and carry on straight ahead until you reach the Grand Coulin neighbourhood.

(11) Cross the junction, then keep left until you reach the Route du Caillaou (D140). Turn right and follow this road until you reach the first track on the right.

(12) Take this track to return to the forest and head down towards the footbridge over the Ruisseau du Coulin. Cross it and head slightly uphill to the next junction. Turn right and rejoin the route you have already taken.
(3) Turn left and follow the path back the way you came to the car park at Place des Platanes (S/E).
