Description of the walk

Start from the car park by the bandstand.

(S/E) Turn your back on the bandstand and walk down the street between the playground and the fronton, heading north. At the end of the street, turn right and follow the cycle path to the picnic area.

(1) Turn right, cross the Route des Cèpes and follow the sandy path opposite. Stay on this path, climb the hill, descend into the valley, cross the footbridge, climb slightly and turn right to walk alongside the Capcos stream. Leave the stream at the second footbridge and climb up to the crossroads.

(2) Take the path furthest to the right, which slopes gently downwards. Walk past the wash house, and at Rue des Jardins,
turn left onto it.

(3) At the crossroads, turn left, cross the two streams and head down to the left into the grassy area running alongside the Ruisseau du Bourg. Follow the stream upstream and enter the woodland on this well-marked path.

(4) At the D140, make the first turn right then left, then keep right and then left, crossing the first junction. At the second junction, take the right-hand track. Further on, ignore a path on the right, cross a junction and continue to the D331.

(5) Cross over (signposted ‘Source Saint-Jean’). Follow this wide track, which is clearly marked by vehicle tracks. Ignore all side tracks.

(6) Take the track on the left (despite the signpost indicating otherwise) and head for Source Saint-Jean.

(7) From the spring, return to the previous junction.

(6) Continue to the left towards the Ruisseau du Vignac (Courant de Contis). Before reaching it, turn right onto the small path that runs alongside it; you’ll soon reach and cross the footbridge. Head away from the stream.

(8) At the multi-way junction, keep to the right and follow the hairpin bend.

(9) Leave this path on the right towards the footbridge crossing the Ruisseau du Vignac, then turn left in front of the fixed-bar climbing frame. Follow the stream past a lovely picnic area, cross the bamboo grove and the stream, and join the Route de Linxe.

(10) Turn left, head back up towards the village and turn right.

(3) Turn left onto Rue de L’Église and, in the centre of the village, head for the car park (S/E).
