Park at the side of the D908, near the recycling bins.
(S/E) Walk alongside the road, taking the wide stony path which leads 100 m further on to the wooden bridge crossing the Verdon.
(1) Cross the road carefully and go over the bridge to reach a track on the other side of the Verdon. Pass another track on your right, cross the Riou d’Ondres and arrive at a junction.
(2) Continue to the right. Keep left at the next junction. You’ll climb slightly and be rewarded with a lovely view of the Verdon valley. You’ll reach another junction.
(3) Turn right towards Ondres.
(4) Completely deserted at the start of the 20th century, the village was restored from the 1950s onwards by holidaymakers who fell in love with the site. The village has neither mains water nor electricity. In summer there may be around a hundred people, whereas in the past the village was home to up to 250 people.
(5) When you reach the last house, turn round and follow the route back in the opposite direction to return to the starting point (S/E).
