Place de Solre-le-Château
(S/E) With your back to the church, take Grand Rue, then Avenue du Général De Gaulle as it continues. Pass the gendarmerie.
(1) Before the roundabout, turn left onto the Voie Verte de l'Avesnois. Cross the road and continue straight ahead.
(2) Leave the Voie Verte on the right to rejoin the D104 towards Felleries. There is a shorter alternative route if you stay on the Voie Verte de l'Avesnois (see description in practical information).
Pass Rocinsart and continue straight on the Solre-le-Château road, which becomes Rue du Pierge.
(3) Follow Rue du Pierge on the right. Then take the third left towards Ramousies, Rue de la Marlière, and continue straight ahead on Rue du Grand Mont.
At the Grand Mont crossroads, continue straight ahead on Rue du Docteur Cayet towards Sars-Poteries.
(4) At the crossroads, follow the main road (Rue de la Place) which turns right and pass the Felleries kiosk and the Musée des bois jolis.
(5) Turn left onto Rue de la Mairie.
(6) Just before the church, turn right onto Rue du Cimetière, passing the Large des Batteries area.
(7) Continue right on Chemin de la Large Batterie towards Beugnies.
(8) At the four-way crossroads at Croix des Fusillés, turn left onto Chemin de la Taquennerie and cross the Grande Villette woods. Continue straight on to Flaumont-Waudrechies.
(9) Turn left onto Rue des Écoles, then continue straight ahead onto Rue de la Mairie.
(10) At the end of the street, turn right onto the D104 (Rue de la Place) and continue straight ahead on this road, which becomes Route d'Avesnes.
(11) Before the cemetery, turn left onto Route d'Avesnes. Cross the Helpe Majeure and continue straight ahead towards Avesnelles.
(12) Continue straight on Rue du Taille Pied and cross over the railway line. Continue on Rue Léo Lagrange.
(13) After the church, turn left and after the kiosk, turn left again onto Rue du Chanoine Carlier.
(14) Turn right onto Rue Tortueuse. Take the first left, cross over the railway line and follow Rue du Panstifère opposite.
(15) At a house on the left, turn right. At the four-way intersection, turn left.
(16) Turn right towards a place called Le Sibérie and drive past it.
(17) Turn left onto Rue d'Avesnelles and keep to the right at the fork.
(18) At the four-way intersection, turn left onto Rue de Brode and then left again onto Rue de la Mairie. Cross the Helpe Majeure.
(19) In Sémeries, at the four-way intersection, turn right onto Rue de Ramousies (D133) and continue straight ahead. Pass through the hamlet of La Scierie.
(20) At a bend in the Helpe Majeure river on your left, stay on the D133 on the left.
(21) At the T-junction, turn right towards the centre of Ramousies and follow Rue de la Fontaine.
(22) At Notre-Dame de Bon Secours, turn right onto Route de Liessies and keep left at the next junction.
(23) Continue right onto Route de Sains (D80), passing Les Carniaux.
(24) At Sains-du-Nord, turn right onto Rue du Moulin. At the T-junction, turn right onto Rue Martinet.
(25) At the fork, turn left onto Rue Gabriel Péri, then follow the road on the right, Rue du Docteur Chevalier.
(26) At the T-junction, first turn left then right and take Rue Roger Salengro. Then turn left onto Rue Léon Gambetta. Pass one street and then a cul-de-sac on your left.
(27) At the four-way junction, turn right onto Rue Jules Hiroux and continue straight ahead.
(28) Turn left onto Rue là-Haut and continue straight ahead.
(29) Turn left towards the national forest via Rue du Point du Jour. Take the first right, then turn left onto Rue du Bois l'Abbé.
(30) At the fork, follow Rue du Bois l'Abbé to the right and pass the farm of the same name on your right.
(31) Pass the Sains-du-Nord forest house, head towards the Bois l'Abbé forest and take the Route Forestière du Chemin Vert.
(32) After the house, take the Voie Verte de l'Avesnois on the left. Continue straight ahead, passing the Grand Étang and then the Château de la Motte, both on your right.
(33) Follow the road on the left until you reach the junction with the RD133.
(34) Leave the greenway on the right and follow Rue Clemenceau until the intersection with the D963.
(35) Turn left towards Liessies church, follow the road as it turns left and, after passing the Helpe, turn right onto Rue de l'Helpe.
(36) Continue left onto Rue des Beaux Monts with the old lock and water mill on your right.
(37) Continue straight ahead on Rue des Beaux Monts, then continue on Rue de Beumont.
(38) Turn left towards La Garde de Willies, cross the woods of the same name.
(39) Turn right, follow the road, pass Les Auniaux and then the Engolis farm. Continue straight ahead on the D104.
(40) Keep left and continue straight ahead on the Route de Sivry (D104).
(41) Turn right and then take the first right, Chemin de la Gobinette.
(42) Continue straight ahead on Rue des Grands Jardins and you will reach the main square in Solre-Le-Château (S/E).
