From La Croisette to Grand Piton
A pleasant walk starting from La Croisette, with a loop route at the top of Salève, on a short section of the "Balcon du Léman". The Salève des Pitons (or Pitons) is not the most spectacular part of Mont Salève, but it nevertheless offers exceptional views (the Franco-Genevan basin, the Jura mountain range, the Geneva harbour/Petit-lac, the Vaud and Valais Alps, the Arve Valley, the Chablais, the Mont Blanc range, the Bornes, the Aravis, etc.).
On the Salève Plateau
This is a pleasant hike, with beautiful views of the Mont Blanc range in the first part.
From the cable car station, the Geneva basin spreads out below you.
The Chosal and Copponex loop and the Land Art circuit
Walk starting from the Chosal farm, including the Land Art trail and its twenty or so installations in the heart of nature.
Panoramic views of the Salève
The title of this hike sums up the route, and once you reach the heights of Salève, you can enjoy numerous views of the Genevois, Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc massif.
Please note that there are a few tricky sections between the Orjobet Cave (2) and La Corraterie (4).
The Salève circular: Orjobet, Corraterie, viewpoints and Grande Gorge
A circular trail that showcases the many facets of Salève: climb up via the Orjobet Cave, pass through the Trou de la Tine, Vire de la Corraterie, viewpoint towards Mont Blanc and Rochers de Faverges, viewpoints from the Observatory over Geneva and Lake Geneva, descent via the Grande Gorge and return to the start by passing under the large rock climbing routes.
The Salève via the Orjobet trail
The Salève in Haute Savoie is a bit like the mountain of the people of Geneva. The Grotte d'Orjobet still bears the stamp of the CAS (Swiss Alpine Club). From Le Coin, a steady climb takes you to the cave, which you can then cross. After a final climb, you come out onto the plateau, which is also an alpine pasture. The view is simply magnificent.
Circular in the woods of Cuvat and Pringy
A family walk in a circular route around the small village of Cuvat, through the countryside and undergrowth, along the Viéran and Genon streams.

Le Salève via the old funicular railway route
This hike takes you up to the Salève via a (steep) climb up the wooded slope, following the route of the old funicular railway to reach the cable car station and then the Observatory. Once on the Salève ridge, you can enjoy the many remarkable views over Geneva, Lake Geneva, the Jura Mountains and unforgettable panoramas across the entire Mont Blanc range.
Circular route via Moussy from Reigner-Ésery
A lovely walk of about two hours, with breathtaking views, the countryside, several pretty hamlets and small villages, interesting architecture (both old and new), gardens, vegetable patches, and views over the Arve Valley towards Vertraz-Mentoux and Lake Geneva.
The Parmelan plateau via the Chalet des Espagnols and the Plan de l'Aigle
From the Vallée de la Fillière, I suggest you visit a little-frequented area of the Plateau du Parmelan, located to its north-east. This route, which is rather "wild" in places, winds its way through pretty landscapes with some beautiful views towards the Montagne de Sous-Dine and the Plateau des Glières. Along the way, there are three caves that are worth checking out.
Please note that this route presents some difficulties: rough terrain, steep slopes and orientation issues. For more details, see below and, in particular, the Practical Information section.
Tête Ronde and Mont Téret circular from Les Molliets
Starting from the Fillière Valley, I suggest a lovely circular trail to the south-west of the Glières Plateau, through sometimes wild surroundings, with some beautiful views along the way: the trail leads successively to three peaks (Tête Noire, Tête Ronde and Tête d'Arpettaz), then after a short passage through the Gorge d'Ablon, it joins the Mont Téret sector via the Croix du Bénitier. Please note that a little caution is required on the few sections of sharp limestone pavement you will cross.
