The banks of the Caramy

The Chapel of Saint Probace circular loop
The chapel overlooks the entrance to the Caramy Gorges next to Tourves. Saint Probace came to evangelise Provence in the1st century AD and is said to have died in Tourves. Perched on a hill that is quite difficult to access, we chose to approach it from the Route de Mazaugues, which is easier, to the west of Tourves.
Montagne de la Loube in La Roquebrussane
A short route that climbs up to the summit of the Loube mountain where you can enjoy a panoramic view over the sea and Alps. A wonderful walk with every step!
Circular loop around Montagne de la Loube
This challenging hike alternates between caves, springs, dolomite formations, rocky fissures, the remains of a few castrums, a remote chapel and old pastoral settlements, all of which this route invites you to discover.

La Loube, l'Amarron and the Notre-Dame de la Roquebrussane Chapel
A day's hike starting in the hills above La Roquebrussane, climbing La Loube and then L'Amarron before descending into the valleys at the foot of Pinebron and ending at the Notre-Dame Chapel.

The two banks of the Caramy
In hot weather, it is pleasant to walk along tree-lined paths and enjoy the coolness of the river. Today, I suggest you explore the Caramy Gorges on both banks and admire the chaotic rock formations of the Sauts du Cabri.Today's hike has been modified to take into account comments from the moderator and hikers. Obviously, avoid this hike after or during heavy rainfall.
Saint-André Chapel and Orris Caves
A hike off the beaten track to discover an almost forgotten chapel perched among the rocks and caves carved out by nature under huge dolomitic rocks.
Please note that the first half of the route sometimes follows small, very rocky paths that are not marked on maps. It's quite a steep climb up and down!
The Agnis Valley
A pleasant hike that is not difficult. Approximately 12 km in total with a gentle slope both uphill and downhill. Just be careful on the way back as the path is rocky in places.
La Roquebrussanne
A beautiful hike that is neither long nor difficult, and which can be extended to the Source des Orris if you have more time.
The Piégu oppidum, the Guillandiére fountain and the Castrum Saint-Jean
A beautiful hike starting from Les Rougiers at the foot of Sainte Baume, where you will discover historical sites dating from the Gallo-Roman period to the Middle Ages: the Piégu oppidum, the Fontaine de la Guillandiére, the Château Saint-Jean, the ruins of the fortified village and its troglodyte dwellings, and its 19th-century chapel.
Castrum, chapel and old village of Saint-Jean in Rougiers
This short hike allows you to discover a picturesque and unique medieval site, including beautiful views of the green Provence and the Pre-Alps. The ruined village is a remarkable example of dwellings built on the side of a cliff.
Around the Fontaine des Genièvres
An easy hike around the Fontaine des Genièvres with beautiful views of the Nans-les-Pins plain and, above all, the eastern part of the Sainte-Baume mountain range. A curiosity: the Petit Saint-Cassien karstic cave.
Rougiers, Castrum Saint-Jean
This hike takes you to the ruins of Castrum Saint-Jean, 600 metres above sea level, on the spur of the hill overlooking the present-day village of Rougiers. Don't forget to visit the Guillandière spring in the communal woods, east of Saint-Jean hill.
From Signes to the Devil's Bridge under the canopy of trees
A route to Roman ruins, which is particularly interesting because it takes you through cool vegetation, ideal during hot weather.

From Signes to La Limate via La Paillette
A walk that will take you to a key site of the Resistance, through beautiful oak forests and via the Tête de la Paillette for the view.
Circular from the Grotte des Rampins starting from Méounes-lès-Montrieux
This route begins with a visit to Méounes-lès-Montrieux, winding through its narrow streets, passing by its church, old wash houses, chapel and viewpoints. The route then heads into the undergrowth along little-used paths in search of the Grotte des Rampins.

Map of Séouve and the Pierre Plantée
This is an easy route in the hills of Néoules, most of which is through the forest. It takes you to the Plan de Séouve, a garden in the heart of nature, and the Pierre Plantée.
Crêtes du Pilon Saint-Clément
A walk through the Var forests, alternating between trails and wide tracks, and from Pilon Saint-Clément, a path along the cliffs with magnificent views of the sea.
Chemin de la Grande Muraille
Easy walk in Provence Verte. Suitable as a family walk with children (without pushchairs). The walk takes about two hours, with very little elevation gain. Most of the route is on communal paths with little traffic, the rest is on dirt tracks.
La Bergerie du Défens
An easy walk in the Garéoult Communal Woods. The route alternates between paths through oak woods and stony tracks. The woods provide food for goats, which graze on the bushes and low oak foliage. Their milk is made into cheese at the Bergerie du Défens.
L'Amarron from Garéoult
A fairly challenging hike to a little-visited summit with splendid views of the coast, the Maures, Sainte Baume, Sainte Victoire and the Verdon.
Les sentiers des Charbonniers à l'Est de la Chartreuse de Montrieux
This circular route passes through several areas formerly used by charcoal burners, several boundary markers erected in the 19th century, and the Chartreuse de Montrieux-le-Jeune. There is a panoramic viewpoint stretching from La Loube mountain to Mont Coudon. From there, you can see a unique set of ridge-shaped rocks. Most of the hike takes place in the undergrowth, crossing an oak forest with some remarkable specimens, then ending along the cool banks of the Gapeau, which are so pleasant to walk along in summer.
A GPX track is required for this route.
The Aiguilles de Valbelle
This walk takes you through the Aiguilles de Valbelle site, with its rocky peaks rising out of the forest.
Beautiful forest tracks, a few footpaths and the Chartreuse Notre-Dame de Montrieux (which cannot be visited).
On the trail of Manon des Sources - Le Mémorial de Signes
On this walk you'll discover some of the locations used to film Manon des Sources and Jean de Florette (1986): the Grotte de Mounoï cave, the dried-up stream and the Villa Renard - the hunchback's house.
This route will also let you discover the Vallon des Martyrs, with its monument commemorating resistance fighters executed by the SS in 1944. All along the walk you'll experience incredible Provence landscapes and the Sainte-Baume.
La Barre de Cuers via Les Veys
A very pleasant loop that takes you along the Barre de Cuers via Les Veys. The lower part is on a green trail. The upper section, along the Barre, offers magnificent views with Porquerolles, Port Cros, Le Levant and the main peaks of eastern Toulon in the background. The west-east orientation of the Barre means you can avoid the mistral wind. Despite strong winds, the trail is sheltered and easy to walk. Spring is the best season as it gets hot in summer.
