From the village of Mazaugues, take the D64 for 2.5 km. Park on the right just after the Val d'Agas bridge.
Caution! A tricky section requires a 5m rope.
(S/E) Take the track towards the east.
(1) Just before the bridge over the Caramy, turn left onto a small path marked with red circles. Follow these markings, but be careful as they are sometimes difficult to find. The path winds through impressive sharp limestone pavements. A chain used to allow you to descend about 2 metres. You will now need a 5m rope to safely pass a rock that is a little high and then descend through the rocks. Once you reach the track, follow it uphill.
(2) Further on, take a barely marked path on the right that leads to prehistoric caves.
(3) After your visit, retrace your steps.
(2) Continue along the track until the next hairpin bend, then take a fairly steep path on your left that leads to the banks of the Caramy. Turn left and follow the path. The vegetation is so dense that it is difficult to get lost. Be careful not to miss a beautiful spot by the water; you need to take a path on the rocks on your right. This path starts where the main path veers away from the Caramy after a sharp right turn.
(4) The path passes by the Figuière spring and then joins thePR® trail, turning into a track after the Rimbert ruins.
(5) Follow the track to the Roman bridge (Pont de Cassède on the map).
(6) Cross it and continue along the slightly steep track for 500 metres.
(7) On the plateau, turn right onto theGR®99for 3 km. Be careful, in a very tight bend onthe GR®, a path leads straight ahead and takes you above the Caramy, fortunately not very far.
(8) To return to the cars , leave theGR® on your right. After 500m, you will return to Caramy, where a swim is a must. The cars are only 500m away (E).
