The starting point is in Tourves, Chemin des Gres. As this road is closed to traffic during the summer, do not park in the usual Roquette car park but on a clearly marked area a little higher up on the right, as shown on the map, which is made available to visitors by a local association. In the village, signs for "Gorges du Caramy" will guide you more reliably than the car GPS, which played tricks on us.
(S/E) From the car park, head south on Chemin des Grès for about 660 metres until you reach the old Roman bridge of Cassède.
(1) Cross the bridge and follow the track.
(2) After a few dozen metres on the track, descend towards the river. Unfortunately, this bank is closed off by a wooden fence a hundred metres further on.
(3) Take the path that climbs up to the left at this point. Continue straight ahead for 800 metres, ignoring the paths branching off to the left and right.
(4) At this fork, take the path on the right. Continue on the GR®51.
(5) Follow the path on the right marked with a sign for "panorama des Gorges du Caramy".
(6) Begin the descent to the right towards the Sauts du Cabri. From this point, there is a beautiful view of the Sauts du Cabri.
(7) Descend the path that leads to the riverbank, which has become a large stream in the summer months.
(8) You can climb onto the large boulders and admire this beautiful chaos of rocks. Then, retrace your steps for 80 metres.
(7) Cross the Caramy at a small ford and follow the path that runs alongside the water for 350 metres.
(9) Descend a few metres to the right and join the stream. The path continues peacefully and smoothly along the edge of the Caramy and is visible on the OSM Rando map. Shortly after the source of the Figuière, markings allow you to bypass a few obstacles while staying as close as possible to the stream. (Thank you, Gfeller). Continue to follow the banks of the Caramy until you reach the initial fork.
(1) Continue straight ahead on the discovery trail, which leads to the car park (S/E).
