At the second roundabout in La Roquebrussane, take the D64 (3rd exit) towards Mazaugues. You will see an MZS water tank on your left. 12. 1 km further on, there is a second car park on the left just before a sign saying "Poids lourds demi-tour sauf bus scolaires" (Heavy goods vehicles turn around except school buses). You can park in this car park or take the track that goes up to the left (passable by vehicle) to park in the upper car park 50 m further on.
(S/E) At the upper car park, take the track (GR®® 51-99) through the barrier. Follow the track to the first bend on the left.
(1) Leave the track and continue straight ahead on the path that climbs uphill, still followingGR®® 51-99. The climb is steep and rocky before levelling out to reach a rocky promontory with a beautiful view to the north.
(2) Continue along the ridge to a cairn, follow theGR®® markings and descend to a crossroads at Petite Colle (altitude 830 m).
(3) Leave theGR®® (which follows the Agnis track) and continue along the ridge on a clearly visible path, with a spectacular ridge stretching northwards in front of you. Pass the starting point of this ridge to reach elevation 884.
(4) At elevation 884, stay close to the ridge and continue along the path, ignoring the track that starts on the left. The path will veer away from the ridge and enter a wooded area, but it will return to the edge of the cliff at a place called Les Baus on the IGN map. A cairn marks the start of a path at a 90° angle to the left.
(5) Take this relatively flat path. Ignore a path branching off to the left and continue south-southeast until you reach a fork in the path. Take the right-hand path, which descends steeply to the Ferme d'Agnis.
(6) At Ferme d'Agnis, take the track that branches off to the left and leads to a wider track on the left, which takes you to a hunters' car park (Saint-Hubert) and a cistern.
(7) Continue along this track towards La Verrerie (ruins on the left and sheepfold on the right).
(8) At a reforestation area, rejoin theGR®® and follow it for about 500 m in an east-north-east direction to reach a large crossroads just before a cistern.
(9) TheGR®® branches off to the left and leaves the Piste du Caucadis. Follow it for a few metres before leaving it on the right via a relatively wide but stony path that descends into the Vallon du Thuya (there are no thuja trees!).
(10) At the bottom of the valley, the path becomes a trail near an inspection hatch for the Canal de Provence (underground). Continue along this trail, which climbs back up to the Piste du Caucadis.
(11) Take this track on the left and continue to the first intersection.
(1) Continue along the track to return to the car park (S/E). Beautiful view of the Défens cliffs on the right.
