The Regent's Canal provides a watery escape from the bustle of the streets of London. Starting at Limehouse this walk takes you across London finishing at Little Venice. In general the route is easy to follow and any lileky problems are dealt with in the walk decsription.

For a more challenging walk in London, the Belvedere to Greenwich trail via the Thames Path is what you need. This long-distance trail starts at the Natural Reserve of Crossness then through the marshes, before linking to the Thames Path all the way to the O2 arena and ends in Greenwich park with a takeaway from the market stall. This last walk describes a route from one end of the Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames to the other. It traverses many of the borough's parks and commons and shows how they can be linked by footpaths to form an impressive 15-mile country-style walk we proudly present as "Richmond's Green Trail".

The Thames Path provides easy walking and interesting surroundings. The section from Barnes to Richmond covered by this walk also includes the option to Visit Kew Gardens and enjoy the riverside 'attractions' at Richmond.

This walk has as its focal point the Leg o’ Mutton Nature Reserve (Formally Leg o’ Mutton" reservoir). The walk uses some of the intriguing network of paved footpaths lined with small terraced houses and cottages, which is characteristic of this part of Barnes and Mortlake. Next the Flood Wall Walkway provides excellent river views and leads on to the towpath. The return via pond, green and Mill Hill gives a taste of the village aspect of Barnes, also of the rural scenery of the Common.

These two London Underground stations are less than a few kilometres apart, which is shorter than the open-air route that follows the course of the Thames, first on the north side on the left bank and then on the south side on the right bank between Hammersmith Bridge, Battersea Power Station, the London Eye and Jubilee Bridge.Although mainly urban, the route does offer a few tree-lined sections, particularly in the two parks it passes through.

We follow Darent Valley Path thru' Dartford, Central Park & past Brooklands Lake. Thru' the villages of Darenth, Farningham & Eynsford. A big climb up past Eagle Heights & drop back down past the Roman Villa remains. Then past Lullingstone Castle. Lullingstone Park Visitor's Centre, Shoreham Castle Farm and thru' fields to and thru' Shoreham village to finish near Shoreham Station.

This walk tells the story of bridges and footbridges crossing the Thames and the Grand Union Canal. It also tells the story of two locks: Richmond Lock on the Thames and Brentford Lock, at the junction of the Thames and the Grand Union Canal.The original plan was for the route to follow the Thames between Richmond Lock and Kew Bridge, but as part of the towpath has collapsed, the route has been diverted to the other side of Old Deer Park and Kew Gardens… making the walk a little noisier! Whilst the stretch around the 4.5 km mark is rather gloomy, the start of the Grand Union Canal offers a glimpse into life on the houseboats.Syon Park and its castle, as well as Isleworth Church, are two unexpected gems on this route.

The route is undulating and hilly at times. Follow the Pilgrims and North Downs Ways, but with a few diversions. Expect a few good climbs and one of the most impressive descents of the whole walk. You'll encounter: dark secrets; stately homes; Roman roads; ancient Celtic Temples; one of the UK's largest vineyards; the highest point on the North Downs Ridge; some great views to the north over London and the Weald; relics from world wars; our industrial past and great storms.

A circular walk near Coulsdon in South London, which brings you to the beautiful, rolling chalk grassland of Farthing Downs and Happy Valley. Because this area is some of the last remaining chalk land habitat remaining in the Greater London area, both these sites are considered Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This walk is published through a collaboration with Surrey County Council.

Follow Darent Valley Path across Darent Valley Golf Club. Join the North Downs Way & also soon rejoin the Darent Valley Path. At Dunton Green say goodbye to the Darent Valley Path for the last time. We divert from the North Downs Way to take in Chevening Church and Park. Follow the Pilgrims Way along narrow country lanes, then back onto the North Downs Way, before diverting along the Tandridge Border Path thru' Park Wood Golf Club and finish at Westmore Green.

The River Darent Walk from Shoreham to Eynsford is the ideal weekend walk. This easy and gentle stroll in the Kent countryside takes you from a walk alongside the River Darent, passing through corn and lavender fields, a Castle, a Farm Shop and even a Viaduct, with a meal in a local traditional British pub at the end.

This circular walk with ascents and decents in Epping Forest explores paths in Warren and Strawberry Hills before you go back across Hill Woods. You finally walk along Connaught Water and go back to Barn Hoppitt.

This pleasant circular walk combines several paths in Bury Woods including Holly and Willow Trails. Then, you will walk around Connaught Water enjoying its wildlife!

This quiet circular walk provides a good way to discover paths in Bury and Hill woods using a small section of the Epping Forest Centenary Walk. During this walk, you will see a beautiful oak reckoned to be about 350 years old!

When the sun makes an appearance, we all want to venture outside. But where to go in London to have a pleasant stroll without melting? Well, a walk around Welsh Harp, also known as the Brent Reservoir, comes as a nice surprise. Not so popular (except if you live locally), the Brent Reservoir offers shade and fresh air. It’s a perfect place for a nice day out with friends and family.

The stage starts outside Merstham Station, follows Station Road North. The route then joins the North Downs Way, then thru' the Royal Alexandra & Albert School and up on to Reigate Hill. At Buckland Heights we divert from the ND Way to stay on top of the Downs escarpment passing some great views. At Pebble Coombe we join an ancient trackway along Tye Lane to Headley Village. Then divert south thru' Headley Heath to rejoin the NDW over Box Hill and descend to finish at Westhumble.

Don't want to venture too far from London to find a countryside walk? This is when the Dollis Valley Greenwalk makes an entry. This decently long walk through Barnet and Finchley is that good surprise as it takes you through what is left of former countryside fields in the Capital city.
