(S) The route begins by reaching the Thames on the left bank and then crosses Hammersmith Bridge (renovated and now pedestrianised) (1). The walk then follows the right bank of the Thames, passing successively in front of Putney Bridge (2), Wandsworth Bridge (3), Battersea Bridge (4), Albert Bridge (5), Chelsea Bridge (6), Vauxhall Bridge (8), Lambeth Bridge (9), Westminster Bridge (11) and finally Golden Jubilee Bridge (pedestrian). (13).
Simply take the latter to cross the Thames and reach the finish point (E).
The two old-style bridges are Hammersmith Bridge (1) and Albert Bridge (5).
The icing on the cake: the walk passes in front of the completely renovated Battersea Power Station (7), runs along the opposite bank to Westminster (10), offering a magnificent view of this iconic London building and the famous Big Ben tower, and ends on the right bank at the London Eye (12).
These two London Underground stations are less than a few kilometres apart, which is shorter than the open-air route that follows the course of the Thames, first on the north side on the left bank and then on the south side on the right bank between Hammersmith Bridge, Battersea Power Station, the London Eye and Jubilee Bridge.
Although mainly urban, the route does offer a few tree-lined sections, particularly in the two parks it passes through.
