From Les Vigneaux, follow the D4; at the entrance to Puy-Saint-Vincent, turn left towards Station 1400. Pass the hamlets of Prey d'Aval and Prey d'Amont and continue along the track to Col de la Pousterle. Park in the first car park on the left when you reach Col de la Pousterle.
(S/E) Follow the track that starts towards the forest. A few metres later, ignore the turn-off on the right (return route) and continue along the track until you find a path on the right.
(1) Climb the embankment of the track and follow this path. When you reach a grassy track, follow it to the right for a few metres and then take the path on the left. Follow this path, which continues along the mountainside, until you reach Lac des Charbonnières.
(2) Go around the lake on the left, continue along the path which climbs a little more and reach a track. Continue to the left and follow this track which continues along the ridge. Pass above Lac des Lauzes (not very visible and overgrown with grass) and reach the edge of the forest. Then begin a slightly steeper climb, pass a path on the left leading downhill and reach the crossroads at the pass above the small Lac des Poutilles.
(3) Turn left and reach the summit of Les Têtes.
(4) Enjoy the panorama and the different views on offer before returning to the crossroads towards Lac des Poutilles.
(3) Continue left along the grassy track. At the edge of the woods, follow the path down to the left, cross the track and a few metres further down, rejoin it.
(5) Be careful! Leave the path that continues straight ahead (very tempting to follow) and take the track on the right for a few metres. Then take the path that branches off to the left and gradually descends above a flat marshy area. Reach the track again and follow it to the left for a few metres until you reach the right-hand bend. Continue along the path that branches off to the left and you will soon rejoin the track at a hairpin bend. Follow it downhill to the next crossroads near Lac des Peatland.
(6) Continue left and walk along the lake on your right. Follow the track until you reach a large meadow.
(7) Leave the track and turn right onto a clearly visible path. At the grassy track at the end of the descent, continue to the right and rejoin the starting route. Turn left to reach the car park (S/E).
