Parking and departure Rue Françoise Pasquier, at the entrance to the village coming from Fismes.
(S/E) Head north on the D222 towards Le Moulin, where you will see the pond.
(1) At the junction with the Fismes road, continue straight on the D222 north-west towards Révillon. Watch out for cars, as this section is on a busy road. Drive through the village of Révillon, staying on the main road.
(2) Take the road on your left (westbound) at the village exit. Continue on the small road that crosses the D21, then another road, and crosses the fields towards the village of Barbonval.
(3) At the next crossroads, continue south on Rue du Tombois to the village of Barbonval.
(4) Take the steps at the wash house to climb up to Barbonval church (the climb is steep and the steps can be slippery in wet weather).
At the top of the stairs, turn left and then right after about 50 metres to take the path through the fields (the Sente de Serval, heading south-east).
At the end of the path, continue left along the path at the edge of the woods (a pretty, enclosed path).
(5) After about 500 metres, take the path on the right that descends towards the church of Serval (be careful, the path forms a hairpin bend, so don't miss it).
At the edge of the woods, turn left onto the path towards the church, then turn left to walk along the right-hand side of the church.
Continue along the path for about 400 metres before entering the small wood on your left.
Cross the small wood (this can be difficult in wet weather due to mud).
(6) At the edge of the woods, take the path on the left at the small house (Chemin de l'Épine, heading north).
At the end of the path, join the main road on the left and continue straight ahead at the next crossroads towards Glennes (north-east). Continue along the road until you reach the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Turn right, still heading towards Glennes, to return to the car park (S/E).
