This is a very beautiful hike with no major difficulties, ideal for families. It will take you to the Belvédère de Révoulat viewpoint with a magnificent view of Echevis and the Vernaison Gorges, if, unlike us, you are lucky enough not to arrive in thick fog!
La Roche à Sept Heures in Monthermé
A lovely walk for the whole family. Numerous viewpoints over the Meuse and a wide variety of landscapes.Early spring is the perfect time to enjoy a clearer view of the Monthermé loop. We were inspired by the guidebook "Les Ardennes à pieds" for this hike.

Les Septvallons over hill and dale
This short hike takes you through several villages in the Septvallons. You will see creutes (troglodytic dwellings used by soldiers during the First World War) and no fewer than four typical churches or chapels in varied landscapes.
The California Plateau
A very short walk through the Vauclair forest, marked by information panels about the battles of the Chemin des Dames during the First World War. No difficulty in finding your way on this pleasant and informative walk, suitable for young children.
Short walk in the forest at Rilly-la-Montagne
This lovely forest walk in Rilly-la-Montagne is ideal for families and nature lovers who want to stretch their legs on a simple and pleasant route. We did it with a baby in a baby carrier, so it was no problem (however, it is not suitable for pushchairs).
