Park in the greenway car park just before you reach the small Étang des Moines lake.
(S/E) Follow the road to reach the Étang des Moines.
(1) Turn left to follow the southern shore of the pond.
(2) At the western end of the pond, follow the greenway to the left. Continue straight ahead and ignore all the side roads.
(3) You will come to a road; follow it to the right, taking the greenway that runs alongside it.
(4) After about 200 metres, turn left onto the greenway and away from the road. After about 500 metres, the path turns right. Continue along it to follow the edge of the lake (you are now in a marsh and will cross some beautiful wooden footbridges). After about 150 m, continue on the greenway, which turns left and now runs along the lake, offering beautiful views of this part of the lake.
(5) Leave the greenway, cross a car park and then turn left towards the dyke, which you cross.
(6) At the end of the dyke, leave the road and turn right onto the forest path, which soon climbs uphill, to follow theGR®142(red and white markings). At the intersection (elevation 82), continue straight ahead with theGR®. Stay on the clearly marked path through fields and forests, ignoring any secondary paths.
(7) At the end of the climb, once you reach the plateau, turn left and go down the road.
(8) When you reach the Monument d'Ailles, turn right onto the main road.
(9) At a left-hand bend, leave the road and take the Laie d'Argentel on the right, a narrow path that leads into the forest.
(10) After about 200 m, turn left and continue along Laie d'Argentel, a little-used, grassy path. Ignore the paths branching off to the right and stay in the forest, then along the edge.
(3) When you reach the road again, turn right onto the greenway you took on the way there and cross the forest again.
(2) Go around the pond on the left, leave the road and take the path on the right that runs alongside the Étang des Moines. At the end, cross the road and go opposite to see the ruins of Vauclair Abbey.
(11) Retrace your steps back to the road. Follow it to the left and pass the pond again.
(1) Continue straight ahead to the car park where you started (S/E).
