(S/E) On leaving the Chouquet car park (behind Fontaine-l’Abbé town hall), turn left until you reach a path.
(1) Take this path to the right, towards the Bois du Chouquet, cross through it and join a road at the other end. At the Fork in the road, continue to the right for about a hundred metres until you reach a crossroads.
(2) Turn onto the first track on the right, then head down through the woods to the Route de Carentonne (D24).
(3) Turn right onto Rue de la Fausse Acre (D24) and continue to a Fork in the road.
(4) Cross the Pont Saint-Rémi bridge over the River Charentonne, then continue straight on. Cross the railway line and carry on to the Bernay–Beaumont main road (D133), turning left onto it for 100 metres.
(5) Cross it with care, take the path to the old quarry on the right, and head up into the Bois de Courcelles. Continue to the junction with theGR®26.
(6) Follow it to the right, ignore the first road on the left and emerge at the end of the second one.
(7) Turn right onto this road for a few metres, then enter the forest via the path on the left.
Walk down to the Château de Courcelles.
(8) Turn left onto the lane and, at the end, turn right to cross the D133 with care. Continue to the right along the cycle path to the junction, heading towards Fontaine-l’Abbé.
(9) Turn left towards the village (1 km), cross the river and the railway line, and head towards the church (view of Fontaine-l’Abbé Castle).
(10) Turn right onto Rue de l’Église and head back to the junction you passed on the way there.
