Park at the Col de l'Allimas. There are about ten spaces if you park properly!
(S/E) Head towards the Crête du Brisou. The path, which is very pleasant, soon narrows and runs along the south-east face of the Grand Brisou on the hillside, which is sometimes very steep.
(1) At the fork near Serre Girardet, keep left towards Tiolache. The path crosses several dry riverbeds in summer. After crossing the Rif de Gourfe, the path becomes easier again.
(2) Once you reach Tiolache, head down to the left towards La Bâtie. The slope, which is quite steep at first, becomes gentler after a few hundred metres. As you cross the wide Ravin du Barri, you’ll have a lovely view of the Petit Veymont.
(3) You’ll emerge onto a wider path, which you should take to the left. You’ll soon leave the forest behind, and after a right-hand bend, you’ll be treated to a lovely view of Mont Aiguille.
(4) At a place called Barri, turn left onto the track leading to La Bâtie.
(5) Once on the D8a, turn left and cross the hamlet until you reach the last houses at a very wide left-hand bend.
(6) Just before the next bend to the right, take a path running parallel to the road for about 200 m. The path continues downhill until it crosses the Ravin de la Mouna, then begins to climb again towards Chauplane.
(7) Once in the hamlet, turn left onto the road heading towards the D8a.
(8) About 80 m after a very tight left-hand bend, take the path on the right towards the Col de l'Allimas. The slope is quite steep but not very long. After no more than 500 m, you’ll reach the D8a, which you follow up to the pass.
(9) After carefully walking a little over 300 m along the D8a, you reach the small car park at the Col de l'Allimas (S/E).
