Description of the walk

Park in the small car park at the Col de l'Allimas, a few kilometres above the resort of Gresse-en-Vercors.

(S/E) Take the signposted path, heading west-south-west. Make use of the hiking signs. Walk almost level. Cross the Ravin de la Rantanche, then reach a crossroads, immediately after the Ravin des Peatlands.

(1) Take the path on the right, which climbs steeply. Follow a hairpin bend to reach the Crête du Brisou.

(2) Follow it south-westwards until you reach the highest point (1,678m).

(3) Turn right, above the top station of the ski lift, onto the path heading downwards, northwards. Follow the Crête des Alleyrons, first through meadows, then through woodland. Pass the top station of the Blavet ski lift; at a hairpin bend, you’ll come to a path junction.

(4) Take the path on the right, cross the Ruisseau du Clet, then reach a wider track. Take this straight ahead and continue past a picnic area. Carry on and then cross the Ruisseau de la Delouras before reaching a car park.

(5) Turn right onto the path to head uphill and return to the Col de l'Allimas car park (S/E).
