In Villeneuve-sur-Tarn, leave your vehicle in the small car park by the bridge over the Tarn (recycling bins, information board).
Red and whiteGR®® markings
(S/E) Cross the Tarn via the bridge. On the other side, carefully follow the D53 (Route de la Vallée) to the left for about 100 metres, then take the hairpin bend to the left. Pass under the bridge and, further on, you will arrive at a small road. Look out for the Sentier des Sources hiking sign.
Yellow markings (Sentier des Sources lines and signs)
(1) Leave theGR®® and follow the small road to the left. Cross the D53, then a street in Trébas, continuing straight ahead (Chemin des Sources). At the next intersection, continue straight ahead. About 60 metres further on, take the path on the left.
(2) Further on, find the access path to the Assié Spring on the left (information sign, very coppery water). After this short round trip, continue along the path, passing immediately to the left of the mine shaft. Cross the bed of the Négoriou stream (often dry), turn left, ignoring a path straight ahead, and pass between a ruined hut and a well. You will come to a small road.
No markings
Leave the yellow markings and follow the road to the left. Pass a small viewpoint.
(3) Turn onto the first path on the right (about 150 m before the first houses in La Bouyssière). Ignore the vague paths on the left. The path winds upwards through the woods. Note a small viewpoint on the right. Further on, note a rock with green colours on the left (perhaps indicating the presence of copper). A path just after the rock leads to the top, a sort of natural dolmen. Then continue along the path.
Yellow markings (Sentier des Sources lines and signs)
Just before reaching the road, find the yellow markings and take the path on the left. Pass a sign for Point de vue du Puech. You will come to a path junction.
No markings
(4) Leave the yellow markings temporarily to climb straight up the puech, a round trip to enjoy some beautiful views. Turn back before reaching the farm building.

Back at the crossroads, continue along the Sentier des Sources on the left. At the intersection at Mas Brunet, continue to the left. Further on, pass to the right of a kind of spring, cross the Ruisseau de Négoriou again, and ignore a path that descends to the right just after. Continue along the path. Shortly after a sign about bees, you will arrive at a road.
(5) Follow it to the right.
No markings
At the hamlet of La Mouzinac, leave the yellow markings and turn onto the small road on the left. Follow it until you reach some farm buildings, crossing the Ruisseau du Merlassou stream. When the road turns left towards the entrance to the buildings, turn right onto a grassy path, which is not very visible, between plots of land where various agricultural equipment is stored.

(6) At a post supporting a yellow marker (which reappears here), follow this marker by turning right onto a path. At the next intersection, go left. When you reach a road, continue on the gravel path opposite. Further on, ignore a path on the left at a sign about trees and water. You will come to a road.
(7) Cross and continue on the path opposite, which cuts across the bend in the road. Shortly afterwards, cross the road again and continue down the path straight ahead to reach the village of Trébas. When you reach another road, at a sign about the River Tarn, continue straight down the path. When you reach a crossroads, go straight ahead. At the next intersection, opposite the war memorial, go a few metres to the left and then turn right in front of the post office. Then go straight towards the River Tarn and cross a car park.
(8) At the flood information sign, turn right onto the small road. It crosses the Ruisseau du Merlassou stream and then joins the intersection taken on the way there at the bend in the road on the right.
(1) Follow the same route back to reach the other bank of the Tarn (S/E).
