The balconies of the Pointe de la Masse

The start is located at the Plan de l'Eau des Bruyères car park.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, take the path that follows the Doron de Belleville and cross it.

(1) Turn left, continue southwards, approaching the Torrent du Lou, and cross a footbridge on the left.

(2) Continue until you reach the Refuge and Lac du Lou.

(3) Go around the refuge and continue along the path that climbs to the right. Continue north to reach the highest point of the hike, marked by a wooden post planted in the ground.

(4) From there, the trail descends to the Grande Côte (2,095 m), where you will join a track.

(5) Follow this track to the right, which winds downhill to a wooden terrace with information panels about the animals of the mountains.

(6) Just before this terrace, take the path on the right that passes under the Masse cable car line and continue to a fork.

(7) Turn left and follow a loop to reach the Doron de Belleville.

(1) Cross it again and follow the same route back to the Plan de l'Eau des Bruyères car park (S/E).

To access the car park from the valley, turn right at the^first roundabout at the entrance to the resort. At^{the second} roundabout, continue towards Val Thorens. On the hill that follows, take a road on the right that descends to the car park on the edge of the Doron.
