Let yourself be tempted by a rejuvenating getaway of just over 7 km in the heart of the Aisne region. This circular route, located between the Vilpion and Serre rivers, offers a moment of absolute calm between Marcy-sous-Marle and Voyenne. Heritage enthusiasts will be delighted to discover two architectural gems: the majestic Saint-Médard Church in Marcy and the elegant Saint-Rémi Church in Voyenne, silent witnesses to local history.
The Marle State Forest in Bois-lès-Pargny
Immerse yourself in history and nature with this 10 km hike in Bois-lès-Pargny!
Admire the elegance of the Bois-lès-Pargny keep, a unique 17th-century pink brick construction, listed as a Historic Monument since 1927, as well as the serenity of Saint-Rémi Church. For the more curious, don't miss the detour (only 2.6 km round trip) to the mythical Verziau de Gargantua. This menhir, over 4 m high and listed since 1889, is linked to an ancient local legend. A perfect getaway, harmoniously combining a walk in the woods, rural discovery and the remains of a rich past.

An easy walk that takes you through part of the Lislet wind farm and allows you to stroll through the narrow streets and alleyways of Montcornet. It also offers a chance to reflect on a bit of history: the Battle of Montcornet on 16 and 17 May 1940, featuring Colonel Charles de Gaulle. Finally, there is an interesting heritage site to discover: the Church of Saint-Martin in Montcornet.

This route is easily accessible and takes you through the typical bocage landscape of Thiérache and Avesnois, with hedgerows, beech trees and, of course, cows. The walk is easy to follow and can be done in any season, but be sure to wear waterproof shoes. It can be combined with other routes starting from Wignehies.
Loop between La Groise and Catillon-Sur-Sambre
From La Groise, this route follows a common thread, weaving together the discreet energy of the villages and the serenity of the countryside. You leave the lively little streets behind and open up to vast horizons, where the green meadows and shimmering crops invite you to breathe more deeply.
As you approach Catillon-sur-Sambre, the atmosphere is adorned with reflections of water and rural gentleness, with its peaceful banks and unspoilt authenticity. This walk combines the best of both worlds: the friendliness of the villages and the tranquillity of the surrounding nature.
The Buffalo Trail in Étrœungt
This route, in the heart of the Thiérache and the Lower Helpe Valley, passes through very wet areas. It is intended for experienced walkers given the nature of the terrain.
Around Vaux-Andigny
In the heart of the Vervinois region, a bucolic trail begins in Vaux-Andigny, inviting you to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and immerse yourself in the generous countryside. Under the cover of ancient hedgerows, you walk along meadows bathed in light before reaching Andigny-les-Fermes, where the discreet charm of half-timbered farms reveals a preserved rural heritage.
You then reach Mennevret, nestled in a green valley where the murmur of the stream and the ballet of dragonflies set the pace for your walk. Gentle hills appear on the horizon before opening up to the final stage in Régnicourt, a peaceful village with shady lanes. Bring a water bottle and a good pair of shoes: this accessible route is best enjoyed at the pace of the seasons, stopping to contemplate the scenery.
Around Saint-Martin-Rivière
Starting from Saint-Martin-Rivière, this route takes you into the heart of the rolling countryside of northern Aisne, between peaceful bocage and charming villages. Following small roads and hedged paths, you pass through Ribeauville, then Wassigny, an ancient fortified town where history is evident in every stone.
The walk continues towards La Vallée-Mulâtre, nestled in lush greenery, before reaching Molain, where open meadows and farm tracks offer a breath of fresh air. This accessible and rejuvenating circuit combines rural heritage and gentle landscapes for an authentic immersion in the heart of the Thiérache region.

Starting from Busigny, the walk begins amid lively streets and façades that tell the story of the local area. Very quickly, the tarmac gives way to paths lined with fields, where the horizon opens up and you can breathe freely. The organic milk route starting from Féron
Discover the profession of organic farming through the Baladavesnois app. This cycle route through the Avesnois countryside can also be completed on foot. We offer four stops along the way to provide explanations about biodiversity, water, cattle farming and the production of Maroilles cheese. A few information panels along the route will also complement the explanations provided by the digital tour.
Around Saint-Benin
From Saint-Benin, the walk sets off along paths lined with fields, where the light plays with the golden hues of the crops. Very quickly, the horizon is dotted with hedges and clusters of trees that seem to guard the secrets of the seasons.
As you approach Escaufourt, the discreet charm of the brick houses and the tranquillity of the narrow streets offer a gentle respite before continuing on your way to Saint-Souplet. Here, the countryside blends with village life, between silhouettes of bell towers, the scent of fresh earth and the rustling of the wind in the hedges.

Around Reumont
From the small village of Reumont, the walk begins at a leisurely pace along paths lined with hedges and peaceful meadows. On the way to Maurois, the eye is drawn to the rolling fields, dotted here and there with bright red poppies and golden ripe wheat.
In Honnechy, the village reveals its warm brick facades and authentic atmosphere before the path continues towards Pont à Capelle. There, the murmur of the wind in the trees and the soft light of the end of the day provide the perfect setting to end the walk.
