Access: Head for the Languivoa Chapel to the east of Plonéour-Lanvern. Before the chapel, at an old cross, take the road on the right. At the crossroads with a stop sign, continue straight ahead and turn left at the next road signposted "Moulin de Kerbénoc'h".
(S/E) Park in the small car park after the old mill, at the fork towards the Kervahut farm (information board on the lake).
Yellow + mountain bikemarkings
Go to the lake and follow it in an anti-clockwise direction.
(1) Reach a path coming from the right of Leuré, another access point to the lake, and continue. A little further on, the mountain bike trail veers off to the right.
(2) Continue along the path that leaves the lake to go around a marshy area (visible on the aerial view). Follow this path and reach the edge of the lake.
(3) You will see the dam that you will need to go around. Reach a car park, go around it on the right and go down the small road on the left that leads to Moulin Neuf.
(4) Leave the road and take the path on the right, which immediately turns left onto a pontoon. This area, which was under construction in October 2020, has been redeveloped to allow the river to return to its natural course. Follow the signposted path
Continue up a log staircase. A rope handrail makes the climb easier. Continue along the edge of the wooded area.
(5) At a small staircase, turn left, ignoring a yellow marking inviting you to turn right, and return to the edge of the lake. Continue along a wide path until you reach two barriers at a car park with an information panel, and continue
(6) On the right, you will see a small pond called "Étang Noir"; it is part of the nearby Manoir de Lestremec estate. Gradually, the lake narrows and vegetation invades its banks. This is where swans usually gather to nest.
Further on, a sign for Fontaine de Saint-Couléo invites you to take a short detour to a spring that has been converted into a rustic fountain
(7). Cross a footbridge over the Rivière de Pont-l'Abbé, still a modest stream. Continue along this area overgrown with aquatic plants and shrubs and enjoy a wide view of the entire water surface. The path veers to the right and then reaches a small road, which you follow to the left to return to the car park (S/E).
