Description of the walk

Start in front of the town hall.

(S/E) Opposite the town hall, turn right and follow the red and whiteGR® trail to Rouflac

(1) At the hamlet, cross the road and walk past the “Chökhor Ling Monastic Centre”, staying on theGR®. Ignore a turn-off on the left.

(2) Shortly afterwards, follow theGR® alternative route to the right and continue straight on.

(3) At the crossroads, turn right and then ignore the service track on the left.

(4) At a place called La Créchère, turn left and follow the road to the junction after the access road to Barbroux.

(5) Turn right (old Roman road). Follow this Roman road to the D32, ignoring the paths on the right and left. Cross the D32 and continue straight on along the road until you reach a very large pigeon farm. Go past it.

(6) Take the grassy path on the right to Grand Flassac. At the hamlet, turn left onto the road on the left, then, as you approach Pineau, turn right towards Petit Flassac. Cross the hamlet.

(7) Take the tarmac path on the right to the D32. Cross the D32 and make a quick right-left turn to take a wide, compacted track along the edge of the woods. At the end of the track, turn left onto the road towards Les Pentequeries.

(8) After the farm, turn right onto a grassy track before La Gilerie. At the crossroads, continue left until you reach the road, passing behind Les Bonhommeries. Join theGR®48variant.

(9) Follow theGR® straight on, passing close to the church, to return to the starting point at the town hall (S/E).

An easy route, featuring small tarmac roads and a long straight stretch along the old Roman road.
Of limited interest

Hello.
I did this route again with the club on Thursday; it was very disappointing at point 8, before La Gilerie, where there’s a grassy track on the right.
This path is covered in maize silos for 500 metres; is it normal for this path to be blocked?
We walked past the path, following the tractor tracks filled with water! To be looked into,
Thank you.

A very nice route, though the signposting is a bit lacking in places.
