Coming from Nyons via the D94, take the Saint-Jalle exit, the D64 then the Arpavon exit (the D566), the road leading up to the village. Park in the cemetery car park. There are toilets.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, head right, walk alongside the cemetery and take the Chemin du Rieu on the left, which is closed to traffic and descends along a ravine. Cross the Ravin des Combes and arrive at a junction.
(1) Leave the road and take the path on the right, which climbs quite steeply in hairpin bends and joins a road.
(2) Follow this road to the right, ignore a road on the right, cross the Ravin de la Chabotte and continue climbing until you reach the sign for Rocher Roux.
(3) Ignore this signpost to the right, continue along the road and pass close to the house on the right (an elderly dog is on guard but is not aggressive). Cross the Ravin de Font Barrière and reach the start of a path on the right.
(4) Leave the road and follow this path up to the Col de Corbière.
(5) Do not take the track (first on the right) which climbs into the woods, but take thesecond path on the right, which offers lovely views to the left (Miélandre, Angèle, Servelle...) and rejoins the track.
(6) Follow this track to the left, joining another track which you follow to the left for 150 m. Don’t miss the sign for Ambonne!
(7) Leave the track here and take a very pretty path on the right leading to the Col d’Ambonne. On the left you will see the snow-capped peaks of the Dévoluy and the Ecrins.
(8) A well-deserved break is in order here; there is a table and a bench. An option is available to make a round trip to L’Antenne, the summit of Mont Poët, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Drôme peaks. This will extend the hike by 2 km and add 100 m of elevation gain.
To descend to Poët-Sigillat, do not take the track that goes uphill but the path opposite, facing south, which is slightly less visible. This fairly steep path (walking poles essential!) leads you to the village.
(9) Explore the village, retrace your steps and take the Chemin du Terron on the left, which leads downhill.
(10) At the Pas du Serre sign, ignore the nature trail branching off to the left and continue along the track.
(11) At the junction, ignore the path on the left and take a short climb on the right.
(12) At the crossroads, ignore the paths to the right and left and continue to the next junction.
(13) Do not take the path that goes uphill; stay on the PR® (yellow markings) until you reach the village car park (S/E).
