Start from the car park near the Poët-Sigillat cemetery, just outside the village on the Col Soubeyran road.
(S/E) Take the forest track that starts above the cemetery.
(1) Ignore the path that branches off to the right and continue along the track (which is paved in places). The track climbs steeply in places.
(2) When you come out of the undergrowth, you will arrive at the edge of lavender fields. Walk along them on the right.
(3) Leave the track that branches off to the right and take the one that climbs between the lavender fields.
(4) At the fork, keep right towards Col Soubeyran.
(5) Highest point of the hike. Begin the descent towards the pass.
Shortly before reaching the pass, enjoy the superb view over the Eygues and Oule valleys.
(6) At the pass, cross the D162 road and take the forest track opposite.
(7) Pass some ancient ruins and continue the descent.
(8) Cross a small stream, ideal for cooling off. Ford the stream and continue along the track.
(9) Leave the track that climbs up to the left and continue downhill, turning right.
(10) Pass by some captured springs and cross the Rieufrais.
(11) Leave the path that leads to the Bellecombe-Tarendol climbing site and continue until you reach the semi-tarmac road. Turn right towards Tarendol.
(12) At the fork, turn right and follow the tarmac road for over 1 km. Cross the Pont des Hoirs bridge, arrive in Tarendol and cross the village.
(13) At the village exit and at the end of the wide right-hand bend, don't miss the forest track that climbs up to the left towards the north-west.
(14) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and follow the sign for Poët-Sigillat 1.7 km / 30 min. A little further on, rejoin the Col Soubeyran road and, going downhill, head for the cemetery car park (S/E).
