Departure from the Ferme de Viltain, clearly signposted when travelling on the D446 between Christ de Saclay and Jouy-en-Josas. Two parking options:
- On the very wide shoulder of the small road, on the left-hand side when coming from the D446, between the farm buildings and the information board for the route and the picnic tables.
- In the car park of the "Le marché de la ferme" building, on the right-hand side and inside the property. N.B. This car park may be reserved for customers and the access gate may be closed outside opening hours (I did not see any signs to this effect).

The CAPS signs are on large wooden posts. They are one-sided, in the direction of this description.
(S/E) Head west-northwest, leaving the farm buildings on your right and walking alongside a fenced orchard on your left. Find the route information sign and turn left with the road towards the Saint-Marc golf course. Ignore a path on the right (also marked in yellow, 2PR® separate here) and leave the golf course entrance on your right.
(1) Walk alongside the Grand Viltain farm buildings and continue along the road.

(2) At the crossroads, go straight ahead, pass through a forest barrier and follow a path between two fenced meadows. After turning right, the path gives way to a trail. Walk along a stream on your right and a field, then the wall of the Orsigny farm on your left.
(3) You will come to a farm track; follow it to the left. Pass in front of the large Orsigny farmhouse and continue straight ahead on a small tarmac road.

(4) At the crossroads (electricity pole), turn left (north-east) onto a farm track which quickly gives way to a grassy path. Pass between two electricity pylons and you will come to a crossroads near an old ditch (which may be dry).

(5) Continue straight ahead (leaving theGRP® trail on your right), cross the small bridge over the ditch and walk briefly along a wooded area.

At the crossroads that you will soon come to, continue straight ahead between the fields on a dirt track parallel to the power lines. Ignore a path on the left and continue on a path at the edge of the woods on the left. Then go straight ahead between the fields. You will come out onto the D446 and follow it to the left (bus stop).

(6) At the roundabout that appears immediately, take the first road on the left, towards the agricultural interpretation trail and Viltain-Saint-Marc. Follow the road with caution (narrow shoulder). After about 250m, find a wide shoulder on the left and follow it to the parking area (S/E).
